Returning Genshin Impact player reacts to ALL Five Star Character Demos!

I traveled to the world of Teyvat the day Genshin released to find a colorful and expansive world that pulled at my heart strings only to give up on the game a couple weeks later, scared away by confusing systems and fear of falling too deep into the gacha pit. Fast forward to November 2021 where I decided to give Genshin another shot. Now with the help of my community I am absolutely IN LOVE with this game, its world, and its character (minus Ying’er)!

So, in honor of reaching 600 subs on YouTube, here is my reaction to all of the current Fiver Star Character demos released. I hope you enjoy it! If you do, please consider liking the video and subscribing to the channel!

Thank you for helping me reach this milestone!

  1. Xiao's not angsty he just has awful English voice direction that makes him sound like he is. In the other languages, including the original Chinese, he is more calm and composed, and while he doesn't socialize much or interact with other people, it's because he feels like he can't for fear of hurting them due to his karmic debt. He's honestly a really gentle character and the English version did not capture that side of him at all.

  2. Mona was a part of the 1.1 event quest “unreconciled stars” with Fischl. And that was where we first met Scaramouche.

She does have a character story quest

  3. The problem with the game story-wise is some events are only accessible on the version it was released. Mona's for example, while she has her character story quest, you will see more of her along with Fischl (yes, Fischl's character was well presented on this event as well) in the ver 1.1 event quest. Albedo's event quest too from 1.2. Newer players will miss more of these quests in the future. I do suggest watching a playthrough of these when you have the time.

Also, people started liking Childe more after his character story quest. If you play it, you'll understand why (I think).

  5. [leaks warning]

Mona will be relevant once again in an event for 2.8

currently, there's a little easter egg within the game's mondstadt commissions.. there's a chance you'll get a daily commission that will feature Mona (requirement: finish her story quest)

Genshin released a storyline preview video on YouTube that tells us in what order each region will come out. Snezhnaya will be released in 6.0

This preview video also gives us the name of the story chapter for that region, a short piece of music for that regions style, and art reveals for one character that will be released in that region. Ayaka for Inazuma, Cyno for Sumeru, etc.

It's kinda like a shitty roadmap made in a cool way that still gets everyone hyped!
