As far as I'm concerned this game is flawless. Granted, I started in August. Whaled for the first time in mid September after many days of thinking about it. At that point I was sold on the game. Most fun I had in a while. Then my friend said it's only fun if you're a whale…..
I made a fully F2P account on the EU server. AND I'M HAVING JUST AS MUCH FUN!!
US: I'm a Yanfei/Shogun main despite having most the characters that dropped since September 2021.
EU: I'm a Xiao/Eula main. Plan to grab Ayato and another restriction is: can't use any of the characters I use on my USA account. Best choice of my life.
To be super duper honest, i'm only upset with 2.6 because it's bringing two characters i want, but the patch itself seems to be fun. The events seem to be cool, the chasm seems to be cool, the artifacts are amazing and i REALLY don't want to farm them kkkkkkk
But yeah i'm not super excited, but i'm not super meh, the lore is amazing and i'm still hyped for a possibility of Scaramouche. I'm not sure how i feel about it, i think i'm in genshin more for the characters because they are amazing. And it's always like this, i'm never hyped to the content, until i actually get there kkkkkk. Usually is way more impressive and fun than the expected so lesgoooooo!
2.6 is gonna knock all the fish out of the water with amazing story content and Chasm gameplay
>Inb4 the "Players" say that isn't good enough, it is for a while as they're trying out ideas for more content to come in the near future via Dendro showing up and also Sumeru. After those 2 major core updates gets released, they will include endgame content soon after as I always have more hope and thrall into this game.
If it's a sims like game than why do I have to run the same domain for two months straight to have a usable character? Seems like a pretty meh sims game. In all honestly tho I just don't get that way of thinking, if all you want to do is mini games then why not just play mario party their mini games are much better and cheaper if your a whale. Combat is the one thing this game does better than most others imo, everything else they try to do has much better alternatives. Just my two cents
This is purely doom posting. genshin has always advertised itself as an open world action RPG. it never advertised itself as combat focused game like DS. exploration, action and diverse characters has always been it's fore front of gameplay. The only two features that are "sims like" are fishing and teapot.
Yeah if you want sweaty combat and never ending content go play ff14 or WoW/ Not dissing these games it's literally what people play them for. Well ff14 is a bit more comparable to genshin but you get the gist
I think it will because the chasm will be big and a new zone is always welcome. We all have to be patient for sumeru and i think chasm will be a good distraction for now
tbh if genshin has a very complex combat aspect and if enemies are so annoying unless you pull for new characters,, I would immediately quit the game bc that would only be stress inducing to me. I love how you can just use the characters you want and be able to clear the game and the fact that its casual friendly helps a lot for me.
game is about chars only and every char depens on crit dmg lol
SPENT 160 RESIN AND LOG OFF
They could easily satisfy all vets with floors 13-15 spiral requiring 3 parties. Why they spend time on crappy bartender events boils my blood
Combat oriented content like Abyss is not that popular as some hardcore players might think. I don't like Abyss, because it's time-based, but enjoy combat. Casual players probably completely ignore Abyss, so yeah, damage numbers slaves who grind artifacts for months kinda wasting time for faster Abyss, basically.
Combat is literally the most boring part of every quest as you have to kill a bunch of random mobs they throw at you at random intervals. Granted the stories themselves are often not well-written and the dialogue is boring, but the combat part of it literally just feels like… it's there cuz you know, this is a combat game. Well, it's not. Every material and artifact domain is the same copy-pasted arena with different mobs. 1 room. People are talking about hoping for raids… WHAT?!?! There aren't even any progression dungeons with proper boss fights.
Frankly, the only enjoyment I get out of Genshin nowadays is seeing the different characters interact with each other and the traveller. This is why my favorite event was the drink-mixing one. Otherwise I hate 99% of the events and minigames. But this is never gonna change. They are intentionally boring and repetitive, because if collecting primos was fun, less people would buy them with dollars. The bottom line is (from decades of online gaming experience) games rarely change their course, it's always 90% hoping for better developments and 10% actual enjoyment of current gameplay.
'Character diversity'
Looks at all the character body shapes and skin colours
.
.
I think Genshin does character DESIGN beautifully, but the only DIVERSITY we get (at least in shape) is in the Fatui, and coloured characters are both underwhelming and very background so far. HOPEFULLY we get some better diversity soon.
LMAO no it's not gonna satisfy everyone. I'm making this clear right now. This is no hate towards your video or what you had to say, but I'm speaking realistically here. Every time Mihoyoverse releases a new region/exploratory location, whether it's permanent or an event, most of the players are just gonna clear it too fast, get interested by the enemy designs or not and clear them too fast, no matter how difficult they are. Find all chest too fast, beat all extra bosses too fast, complete all quest too fast, etc then they're gonna go right back to boredom and complaining about the game's state again on Twitter and Reddit. This is what happens when you focus too much on "meta" and wanting to get everything done, content creator or not. For example over a year and a half now I still haven't completed half of the game's content nor Spiral Trash at AR56. That's just me, but seriously though they're gonna go right back to square one the second they're done exploring and fighting everything they see. It's an old tune that's been sung ever since the release of Dragonspire. Fun fact, even if Mihoyoverse released permanent content that has to do with endgame high level combat that really will test a player's builds, team comps and units used, they'll still clear it all eventually like they did with Spiral Trash then go back to complaining. They're literally just complaining for the sake of complaining at this point and it's funny.
I’m mostly just a casual player and don’t care as much about the combat system, but I do think that the point you brought up about the combat not being finished yet to be very interesting. We have an entire element that hasn’t been introduced to the game yet. With how important reactions are to combat in this game, I do think it makes sense that hoyoverse isn’t doing much with that type of content yet as they aren’t even finished.
guess I'll quit
As a free game, certainly as a mobile game it's pierless…if you've played since the beginning like me and pretty much run out of content, apart from some annoying puzzles you can't be arsed to solve, tough! It's not something to be complaining about. Looking forward to the chasm/sumeru/new units etc. But the game is mainly about combat/exploration/ team building. That's the core.
(They could perhaps create some more properly fleshed out environmental puzzle areas .. like a tomb raider vibe!?)
of course they are not gonna talk about combat to the new players, it's relatively expensive to get great team synergies if not money it will be time that will be consumed/spend, you'll be waiting a long ass time before you get the character you want for a specific team, even if you're a whale or f2p, you can play as casual sure no problem with that be it exploration or character collection, but if you get in into the action part of the game the slope just go low since it's just the abyss that you will be dealing with and it gets old (for me at least) I just gave up on the combat side of things I don't believe there will be more to it, the abyss will be the end game combat content always and it's just very disappointing.
look man, i love you, you are really skilled entertainer and if you have another channel where you play other games i would love to follow, but i think you are weeeeey to charitable to this game, saying that "combat is just one of the many features" is kind well weird, what are those many feature outside combat? if we count the fact that upgrading the characters is also part of the combat this game is just an empty husk of a game, and is sad because the package itself is absolutely remarkable, i am really disappointed in the game because is very very little content packaged really well.
i play because is relaxing and because i want kazuha and ayato, so after quitting if one day they actually add some combat modes with coop and such i can come back and have characters i like
My problems with Genshin (as an AR58 player) are: They implement a bunch of systems that have little to no effect on the overall world. Also, the "slice of life" aspect feels milquetoast with no real depth whatsoever. You still can't interact "canonly" with important characters unless it's in an event or quest, and even when you do, it happens way too fast and barely scratches the surface of the traveler's and that character's interpersonal relationship. Your friendship level with these characters doesn't ammount to anything but a namecard. Don't even get me started with the outfit redesigns and how that completely ruins your immersion as a player, via IRL politics affecting gameplay.
And, don't get me wrong, I love this game, but it is honestly flawed and can be way better.
I love Genshin for what it is. But it really is kinda stupid to not give some people who want combat something to appease em, especially when the people funding this game, mainly the whales, spend money in order to get stronger characters. They refresh resin in order to get better artifacts. Pretty much most of the things you spend money for in this game is for combat. Don't get me wrong, I love the chill pacing of the game, but if the whales left, who could sustain this game??
Answer: No.
The BEST Genshin ad is 'Ganyu kills Timmies birds' LMMFAO funniest one out of them ALL!!! I know thats not the title but you can just search that description and find it.
I think Yae Miko was a combat related addition. Unfortunately, many players and content creators failed to acknowledge the addition for what it was and voiced disappointment in Mihoyo not sticking to the combat system they had grown familiar with.
Always dropping the truth erotic! Thanks for bringing clarity to the community
Whatever we think is best for genshin (gameplay, combat, endgame, gacha, rng, etc)
I am getting a feeling that HoYo are setting an entirely different goal, using an entirely different formula, that they developed a reflex to just ignore our voices. What we see in genshin, HoYo see something else. Our wants are not their goals (at least, the global hardcore audience) They would have answered our feedbacks and implemented the changes we wanted to see since long ago if our interests align with theirs. How else can you explain these timed events unrelated to combat and its core mechanics?
I love the chasm very much but not because you can fight there but also the theme of the chasm
I read comments from combat focused people every day here and on Facebook and I honestly don't get them.
I'm happy with the game as it is. I don't pull for characters based on their abilities or possible teams, I pull for them because I like their design and their personality. I can't 36 abyss yet, but I don't care lol. My favorite events are the chill ones like the Tanuki photography, the bartender event and similar stuff. I'm excited for the poetry one in 2.6, I wanna see and read characters interactions. This is what keeps me playing everyday. I hate ultra competitive games, they just stress me out. I wanna forget about how awful real life is in a pretty game with a pretty story
