THEORIES ARE BACK!
In this Genshin Impact Theory I discuss why I think I’ve discovered the root of two hidden or forgotten elements in the world of Teyvat and they’ve been hiding right under our noses all along.

Sorry for bad writing and for the length but hear me out
Here's my theory:
7 gnoses of the 7 elements are represented by the 7 official chess pieces except the king. With those pieces, there are pawns that represent the vision wielders/holders.
And I think that there are 2 other elements in chess that are left out here.
CHRONO or TIME. As many of us know, when playing an official chess match, a clock is used to limit each player's time. This clock represents the element of time. It is somewhat already proven in the game. I wont dive into the details of it, but there are in game lore references of a god of time already. Maybe paimon? Paimon is the one guiding us in our journey or "time" in teyvat
ASTRO or SPACE. This second element is purely my theory. In chess, there are the pieces, the clock and one other thing… The board. The board is the space in which the game of chess is played and limits the pieces' movements. The pieces are not allowed to move out of the board unless "killed". Which is the same thing that the sustainer did to the traveler, not allowing them to escape the world of genshin impact. In the beginning of the game, the sustainer's powers seem to be related to space. Opening a portal and those cube things or squares, which is the same shape as a chess board's tiles.
For the king…
In chess, the king is what represents the players. The players being us, the travelers. The king represents the traveler, the commanding pieces of the board. I know, the traveler doesnt command the archons, but the traveler has the ability to wield the power of the 7 elements, which are represented by the 7 pieces…
The black and white colors could be the side that the traveler chooses. Black for the abyss, white for celestia. And it is shown that (cannonically) Lumine has chosen the abyss.
And now it is Aether's turn to journey in teyvat to learn all the elements through space and time
From the video I understood more details of those 2 unknown elements
Their symbol and functions, the Light element's symbol will surely be the classic Khaenriahn's four pointed star and instead the Dark element's will be a four pointed empty circle, surely representing emptiness, depth and a long dead star most likely representing the gap of years between the 2 twins.
The element Dark's (called Abyssal by Drunk Cocogoat which is cool af to me) depth I'm talking about is clearly representing the depth of the abyss, the depth of something where light is nowhere to be seen and emptiness where hopes are lost in time.
Light got the power to purify (Dvalin's tear) and Dark to corrupt (Durin's crystal stuck on Dvalin).
I thought and still think that these 2 elements if merged reach something far more stronger, the Galactic element I theorized to which I decided the name as promised.
The Zenith
9:04 "But Aether remains silent…"
I means, hasn't he always been silent. 😂
"Abyss Herald uses dark power to create a portal."
Umm how about those portals created by the fatui to assault the jade chamber back in 1.1? Are they the same thing?
Looking at the parallelism of Honkai and Genshin
We're in the chapter where they are forcing Kiana to unleash the herscherr powers
We may meet someone very important to the storyline soon.
Maybe the "Herscherr" power of Genshin is somehow related to something deep in the abyss. Which will succumb us soon
But…
What if the combination of all elements is the abyss? What is thr color black? The presence of all color, right? What if, cosmic power is attainable only when certain basic components are obtained? Like an ingredient to a recipe
Gouba was said to be one of Liyue's old gods, but he shrank and lost most of his abilities (like duplication) after giving up his power to land of Liyue. He also lost his memories of his old life, but kept feelings of familiarity. What if the Sustainer had a similar thing happen to her? What if she shrank, lost most of her abilities and memories and became… PAIMON?!! 🧐 This could explain the whole Paimon name and appearance connections to the Archons and Celestia.
Please let me know if this theory is easily debunked or even can be supported further. 😁
Is the theory where scaramouche took the gnosis and ran away and didn’t give it to Tsaritsa true?
Babe wake up…, new TeyvatHistoria just dropped 😳😳
do archons use visions? in the fight with raiden venti and zhongli would lose their powers, why would a archon need a vision?
Good theory, but we all know these elements are definitely Quantum and the unreleased element from Honkai!
What if lumine and aether are the gnosis of light and dark
I love theory and lore videos! Keep the good work up!! I think there are new books at the Yae publishing house that tells inazuma's past. But I haven't have the time to read it yet, maybe check those out.
Looking forward to your next video 😄
Not sure if it is true darkness or some kind of abyssal power. Dainsleif used the same colored powers against the herald to hold it in the air. Though it could be argued it is as he is underpinned as a villain in the story roadmap trailer. Perhaps his shear hatred for the gods and his pessimistic view of the archon's lands is what made him dark. But it does seem a bit off that darkness can be used to pin someone in the air. I'd more imagine weighing someone down but lifting them up seems odd.
Plus we have to remember that Genshin also has massive amounts of lore based on the irminsul tree that has somehow been just ignored in the lore so far. We know the abyss mages use it to wield the elements, it could be the tree itself has powers of it's own that can be forged into the elements. We see in Dragonspine where the irminsul get destroyed the land became purged by cryo elemental energy and the irminsul network is totally broken not even allowing you to use your treasure compass there. We also know the hypostasis specifically form around specific leylines suggesting they can be tapped for power.
We also know the abyss does seem to have powers totally unique to the world above with it supposedly also having a corrosive effect on the memories of those who stay too long. Dainsleif also has a scar on his face partially exposed by his mask that is also a dark blue similar to his powers. Remember the irminsul is a vibrant electric blue so it could be connected. But I won't rule your theory out.
Then what element is the sustainer or Pimon
The chess theory starts making more and more sense, it explains why there are only 7 elements but 8 pieces for two sides.
The king pieces may be related to the gnosis of those who wield those special powers, the white king maybe resides in celestia right now but the MC may be able to ascend and steal the throne, while the sibling is the black king.
The only little thing that I don't like and would have been really cool imo, would have been if somehow aether was the black king and lumine the white king. Since lumine moved first in teyvat and aether moved after her.
It could still make sense if like lumine tried to ascend as black king but failed, and now aether has the chance to either become the white king himself and overtake celestia, or become the dark king and slaughter all the white pieces in his way until he can capture the white king
your videos are so ridiculously well made, I love how the music synchs with the tone at certain moments and all the footage that really sends what you're saying home, quality stuff
Why wasn’t paimon effected?
14:35 was that showen in game?
Ok i have a thought. One of the voicelines from Venti stated he can offer us a vision if we want one, but Raiden said she's unable to offer visions. What if the original 7 r the only ones capable of giving visions but since Raiden is not the original 7 even if she won the archon war with her late sister, she is unable to hand it out ?
9:05 aether remains silent
Like 90% of the game
Also Eula seems pretty screwed
Wow, I thought I was the only one that noticed this. The game is almost to an obsessive point always points out how the Traveler doesn't have a Vision, even though he doesn't need one.
DUUUDE ive been wanting there to be a light and dark ability in the game so we can play dainslef and light traveller
Maybe it's the element of time? D:
I wish we get to use that.
I'm glad i chose Aether
At this point i don't think there's a story anymore. They are too busy in artificially inflating the lifespan of this game that the main plot is gone forgotten entirely. If it wasn't for channels like this i woudn't remembered that " oh, yeah, we need to get our missing sibling", considering the massive and non stop sidetracking. :/
Although the reason beidou got her vision was because she achieved her goal of killing Haishan
when u said that the sustainer rewinds time i immediately thought of paimon who controls time… im doubting her now
Play speed x1.25 seems normal. XD
Nice theory btw 👌
As much as light and dark is incredibly likely… I'm still a believer in the theory with Chrono as the last element (time manipulation)
Am i the only one who wants to see traveller with dark ambition? 🙂 I love villain type Main Characters a lot.
So juts like power ranger, there is always a special white ranger
This is so in-depth, I can watch this almost like a podcast!
i feel like the main mc is slowly getting his home powers/
this is like quantum and imaginary in honkai
these theories are really great. just a small suggestion, i think you'd find a TON of more theory evidence if you looked into honkai lore, as they're very intertwined
