Are we forgetting that the traveler powers were sealed by the heavenly principals? It wouldn't make sense if they made him strong in the game.
I hope Pyro Traveler will be the first redeeming point since Dendro. After all, we are getting near the end of the journey (Snezhnaya, Khaenri'ah, Field of Flowers), so it's prudent that they finally release more powerful Traveler, like Rover from WuWa.
the pyro traveler's kit is actually pretty okay, better than hydro to say the least. a reaction driver and a nightsoul battery is honestly not bad. of course, they are still lackluster compared to many other characters, not to mention that the whole nightsoul recharge stuff means that they can only be at "full potential" in a natlan-focused team.
I thought subaru was the weakest character in all of fiction but looks like the traveler really really wants that spot…
The Pyro Traveller has been delayed and worked on for ALL of 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2.
If MHY can't release a good traveller by 5.3, then What was the Entire Point of delaying them?
Hydro traveller was Pathetic. Arguably the Worst of the Travellers to date.

Lore wise the Traveller is strong but only in terms of physical attributes it seems (we don't see too much elemental action to judge). Thus I think it is reasonable of them to need assistance with enemies that have extreme power. Like Osial, Narwhal, Scara etc all were enemies that were above divinity or could even rival divinity. As such I think it is totally reasonable that a team is needed to fight them. Heck it's even commendable that the Traveller can stand up to them without strong elemental powers like other characters.
The pyro version of the traveller will be the more useful version. Merely due to the travellers ability to use the cinder city set. I reckon he will be useful in kinich/emilie team, national team, maybe also chevreuse team
It's so lame that the traveller can't even be a replacement for a 4 star character. It's understandable that Hoyoverse don't want them as strong as other good 5 stars….

Also I'm getting sick and tired of The Traveler being essentially a worthless 5* in the game just because their a F2p character. I mean look at Star Rail or WuWa's MC's both are comparibly the two most Brokenly OP Main Characters in a story narrative driven game. Genshin Impact is a Strickly PvE game 99% of the time why the hell should we NOT FEEL Absurdly Powerful as the Main Character? I'm not a fan of the Solo Leveling or Overlord Gachas BUT they at least figured out ways to make their Main characters FEEL POWERFUL to the player without hindering the other characters from the Gacha Mechanics. IF anything The Traveler should be a Reliable Support in all forms. But instead..we get these lame utterlly useless itterations of a main character that gets tossed aside everytime an Archon shows up.

The only bad traveller I can think of is Hydro. Also mainly cause Hydro is such an overtuned element.
All other travelers are fairly Ok.
The lore part makes sense tho. And also supposedly she can use multiple elements at once.
If they allow that feature in game, she just breaks it.

The only reason dendro traveler is good is because there were no other available options so they had no choice but to make him half decent.

Wuwa MC has always been in meta no matter how many crazy powerful character release. HSR literally has an MC being the carry of new archetype for the whole duration of the 2.x patches, only to be powercrept in the last patch before the new region. Meanwhile, this cuck ass, soy boy of an MC traveler, NEVER, not even once in his whole lifetime to even getting close to be meta, the best you have have is a fucking usable with dendro MC, and it's because of the Element, not because of himself. This pyro cuck boi even getting delayed for 3 patches, all for this piece of sh*t of a kit ?

sure, narrative-wise, the travelers are mere "observants" but it's not an excuse to make their kits abysmal. they could be less powerful yet still useful. at least in HSR the trailblazer can offer new tactics without being overpowered. here we are made to wait for nothing. they held pyro for 3 updates and the only thing they can come up with is this.

I don't know why but Traveler seems more like a side character then a Main protagonist in the genshin impact! But if you see Wuthering waves The Rover really seems like a real Protagonist! He is strong, can do a lot of staffs and his gameplay is super awesome too! I really like his Havoc element a lot! Please genshin make the traveler a hero not a side character that will get and forget as he ever existed! Most of the time traveler is even other 4 star characters are better than him/her! How is the traveler a 5 character?!? Like Anemo Traveler but not better than Sucrose! Geo Traveler is not better than Ninguang! Electro Traveler is not better than Kuki or Fishel! This time Dendro traveler and Kaveh are both better! Hydro Traveler is not better than Xingque! Would Pyro Traveler be better than Bennet or Xianglin or not!?! Make him/her a good character he is a 5 star character you know!?! 😭
They will NEVER make the Traveler be up-to-par with characters that can be pulled from Wishes. Period.
The all time underrated heroes of Teyvat have to be Bennett, XingQiu, Xiang Ling and Fischl.

I like to think that when they get their original power and sword back then they'd be the most powerful character (my coping method) and let's hope they get a five star burst animation with their original powers
Its funny because with the current kit the 300 ER polearm and circle impact were left behind.
