  1. Just a reminder that Harbingers are in fact, ranked by strength in combat, there's absurd amounts of evidence for it, from implicit to straight up explicit statements.

    Dottore is said to be ranked second due to his combat ability alone.

    Nahida says that the top three harbingers have power comparable to that of gods, yet again correlating higher ranking with power.

    The fatui in Mondstadt attribute Signora's death to perhaps her strength being insufficient enough to remain a harbinger, and talk about the possibility of the 8th seat being replaced with someone stronger.

    The fatui are said to have the strongest military, with the harbingers being said to be what lets the Tsaritsa do as she pleases across teyvat, very clearly indicating that harbingers are supposed to be associated with strength.

    Capitano is almost only praised for his strength, and is ranked 1st.

    Yae implies that Scara is stronger than Signora because of his rank being higher.

    Wanderer's character stories literally use harbinger rankings as a measuring stick for his unsealed power by saying that he was on par with the lower ranked harbingers after his power was unsealed by Dottore. This wouldn't be a logical thing to say if rankings weren't primarily based on strength.

    Traveler says “I wanna see for myself as to what the 4th of the 11 Fatui harbingers can do” right as he was going to engaging in a duel with her, indicating that higher ranking = combat strength.

    Lastly, Dainsleif in Arle’s collected miscellany says that the 4th seat is the most direct affirmation of Arle’s combat abilities. Yet again, showing that the Harbingers are primarily based on strength.

    Saying that the Harbingers could be ranked by influence because some of them don't look like fighters is going against what the game quite literally tells you multiple times, before his reveal Dottore was speculated to be a low ranking Harbinger because "The Doctor" sounds like someone who doesn't even fight, and yet, lo and behold he turns out to be ranked by his combat ability alone while his scientific achievements were ignored completely to rank him.

  2. I really wouldn't call Scara revolutionary, unique or even appealing gameplay wise.
    He's a stance cooldown carry, a very common archtype for on fielders, with some of the biggest drawbacks in the game. having near absolute reliance on a c6 4star that hardly reruns, is one of the squishiest characters in the game, has virtually no CC which either forces him to run defensive utility or sacrifice his own dps uptime to not insanely evaporate.

    He's essentially locked for 2/3 party memebrs as his base numbers are borderline unuseable without bennett/faruzan, which causes team building issues. The role they were trying to push him towards was a driver carry that could be utilized in unique teams, evident by his infusion passive. That didn't pan out due to his poor solo performance so he's stuck on the hypercarry trope til this day.

    The concept of anemo dps wasn't even revolutionary at the time considering Xiao exited since 1.3, not to mention Xiao outperforming Scara since his initial debue, with Xiao only getting better. Scara's only true redeeming factor was overworld exploration, and thats being directly powercrept by Chasca, a new anemo dps that (surprise surprise) is filling the very same niche (reaction drive carry) only better, virtually powercreeping him entirely to anyone that isn't playing him for lore/personality reasons.

  3. I dont use any of the fatui harbingers because i dislike the idea of playing around additional resource mechanics. Childe and his riptide and long cooldown, Wanderer and his flight bar and Arlecchino and the bond of life. I like to play genshin with half my brain turn off and all three of them just take too much brainpower

  4. Personally, my biggest problem with the playable Harbingers outside of Wanderer is a narrative one. Childe and Daddy are both still loyal to the Tsarista, so why would they fight with us when we get to Sneznhaya? Wanderer did it the best by leaving the Harbingers, though I still take issue with his existence easure bs denying us interactions between him and Ei. I don't want the Harbingers to be playable unless they break away from the organization organically when we have to fight the Tsarista (if she actually turns out to be evil and not just misunderstood/trapped like Furina and Nahida respectively)

    1- Physical DPS
    2- HP draining-dendro DPS with no use of reactions
    3- anemo DPS with a lot of on field CC
    5- Freeze cryo DPS
    7- Geo construct DPS
    8- Melt DPS for tsaritsa meta once revived
    9- Taser DPS maybe?

  6. If Mavuika turns out to be a support then Capitano will be the only natlan carry to be on the same level as Arlecchino/Neuvillete potentially even surpassing them. (if he becomes playable)

  7. I'm still waiting for Signora phoenix resurrection. inhales copium Columbina looks cool. Capitano as well. Buuut I love Scara the most (he's c6r5), with Arle coming as a second (c3r1, planning to c6r5 eventually)!

  8. Just need Childe to complete my Harbinger collection, already have Scara and Arle. Then Mavuika for my Archon collection, heh

    Edit: also, looking at the list, noticing a trend. The Archons seem to follow the sub dps/support roles, while the Harbingers are more of the DPS role, interesting

  9. i'm most excited for 6.0 where hoyo will release an 'awakened' (think il dang heng from hsr) tartaglia where his foul legacy and delusion form is playable, along with tonia, a pyro subdps who synergizes rly well him (i'm extremely delusional)

  11. My genuine hope is that they will release Signora or a version of her later into Genshin's lifespan to allow for power creep and fulfill her power fantasy to its fullest

    Personally, Signora should be a Cryo Catalyst where her Burst turns her into a Pyro hypercarry, but she loses it when switching out. Basically she could literally be either a Cryo or Pyro unit depending on how you build her or what you need. Maybe Pyro makes her lose HP like Xiao or something. Idk, eventually most Gachas like to add units that can utilize multiple elements, and with Chasca being able to solo Swirl, maybe its coming.

    Yeah sure, but inazuma didn't need any harbinger/villain. There was already Raiden shogun taking uo that role. Her centuries of unchanged concept of eternity put nothing more than intolerable agony/curse on her own people. Imposement of vision hunt decree was inevitable if for fatui or not, raiden would definitely do similar act. Thanks to traveler and mostly miko for backing up inazumans. Raiden Ei was good but just late on the stage.

  13. I've noticed the current playable fatui harbingers (yes that includes wanderer/scaramouche) are normal attack based dps. I don't know if that's hoyo's intention, but its very fitting considering majority of the harbingers have this "every man for himself' sort of mindset as well as their own drive to their personal goal.

  14. I get some of the appeal for many of the harbingers thus far. Childe is a battle freak, but he’s not really evil, and is actually pretty chill outside of the whole betraying us in Liyue thing. Scaramuche literally rewrote his very existence to come out (slightly) less of a douche on the other side. Arleccino can be cold and cruel, but she does genuinely care about the children under her care. Capitano is honorable and true to his word. I can even sympathize somewhat with Signora after everything she went through. But I draw the line at Dottore. He literally skipped mad scientist and went straight to psychopath. He’s the one Fatui we’ve met so far with no redeeming qualities at all, and I have to question the judgement of anyone what wants HIM in particular to be playable.

  15. I've never actually considered Childe a villain character because he never actually put Liyue into danger and he knew that he didn't. Unlike all the other Villain playable characters who did intentionally kill innocent people. Childe is on the same evil level as Lyney imo. The only thing crazy about him is his Goku style "I must fight the strongest opponents" attitude.

  17. I admit they're cool but I hate how the Fatui always win or always get the gnosis. Like it's just bland story telling whenever you know what exactly is gonna happen every story update so I really really hope they do it differently in Natlan… but I doubt it unfortunately knowing hoyo.

    Let us get it or have it be just completely destroyed, it's very obvious something along those lines is gonna happen because we gotta get the pryo element somehow and honestly I believe the five star materials we are getting from the faction ranks are gonna be for pyro traveler. Considering there are six factions we can max and the traveler is a free C6 everytime so… maybe we become pyro archon idk because the materials are definitely different from tbe usual bottles we got

I've always been somewhat unimpressed that the harbinger designs are super innovative and against the grain of the elements in question, but then they are all just on field carries who do normal and charged attack damage. They're Rube Goldberg machines of characters, an innovative kit with a simplistic payout. I think being a main DPS is fine, but I would love a harbinger that is all about skill or burst damage or even alters the way a reaction functions (my personal preference of the 3). Tartaglia, as a result of how his international team functions is the only one who has struck my fancy. I hope this comment ages poorly. I would love a nuker Capitano or Columbina. We need more nukers.

  19. theres is no way they make Capitano not playable. the character build up and many fans like him. its such a wasted potential and money for hoyoverse if they didn't make him playable.
    though i think they will give him new design like they did to hat guy

  20. arlecchino at c0 does less personal damage than hu tao at c0 on both good hu tao teams being the xilonen and the xianyun versions! those teams also do more damage from sub dps because of furina and yelan! dont let the c1-c2 brainwash + simping narrative overcome please! (the uptime is nice in overworld sure but in any hard content you need the time for your rotation anyways or your arlecchino is going to start doing 20-30k per hit with no sub dps which is a huge dps loss)

  21. Imagine if Childe could enter his actual Foul Legacy during his burst? Maybe even change element temporarily. Two elements at once would be OP, but swapping it could work.

    He'd be waaaay cooler to play having something like a Devil Trigger. All Harbringers with these boss forms should atleast get it's appearence when using their bursts.
