  3. 7:06 In all fairness, Mualani may have higher damage number(well mainly because Rev. Vape is an amazing reaction) but I feel she is much more clunkier to play than lets sa Kinich. Kinich is easy to play everywhere, Mualani on the other hand, i feel is a bit clunky. Her phlogiston bar doesnt last that long, and for her big hit, you need three sharky marks, and then attack. Ofcourse it might be skill issue, but i can never squeeze more than one or two max hits whenever i have played her and then i am forced to rotate again.
    Not to mention, her burst is also a little annoyinng, it flies in an obnoxiously weird trajectory and doesnt hit enemies immediately. And sometimes it auto targets random fodder.
    So while i would agree that Mualani has larger damage potential and might be better within Natlan, but in any other scenario i would prefer Kinich for his consistency.

    PS – I should mention that i dont actually own mualani, and have only used her in trial runs and events so far, while I have Kinich. So my perspective may very well be skewed. But that is just what i personally feel about these two characters.

  4. One day, after dinner, while my younger sister and I were lounging about in Mr. Gopher Wood's yard, we spotted a fledgling Charmony Dove all on its own. That baby bird was tiny, it didn't even have all of its feathers, and it couldn't sing. When we found it, it was already on its last breath, having fallen into a shrub — probably abandoned by its parents. We decided to build a nest for it right there and then. However, thinking back, that winter was unusually cold, with fierce winds at night in the yard, not to mention the many poisonous bugs and wild beasts in the vicinity… It was clear that if we left the fledgling in the yard, it stood no chance of surviving until spring. So, I suggested we take it inside, place it on the shelf by the window, and asked the adults to fashion a cage for it. We decided that when it regained its strength enough to spread its wings, we would release it back into the wild. The tragic part — something that we'd never considered — was that this bird's fate had already been determined long before this moment… Its destiny was determined by our momentary whim. Now, I pass the power of choice to you all. Faced with this situation, what choice would you make? Stick to the original plan, and build a nest with soft net where the Charmony Dove fell? Or build a cage for it, and feed it, giving it the utmost care from within the warmth of a home? I eagerly await your answer.

  8. My List – I have clubbed some positions because i couldnt strictly decide who is better.

    Undisputed best character – Beidou(i dont care what anyone thinks, she is the QUEEN. She is the BEST)

    1- Furina (Does damage. Hydro element is busted. Buffs every element/damage. Can heal. )
    2- Kazuha and Xilonen(Kazuha has CC while Xilonen has buff for geo, so both have their own pros)
    3- Nahida, she would have been at the top if we only consider dendro based reactions. She is broken in dendro comps, and even in other reaction based comps thanks to her EM boosting abilities
    4- Neuvilette, strongest DPS in game so far
    5- Arlecchino, Pyro is an amazing DPS element..she is fairly easy to build and has self sustain abilitites too. Not to mention, she hits hard even without buffs and reactions.
    6- Alhaitham, I feel arlechhino and alhaitham are interchangeable but i feel alhaitham is a bit more dependent on "reactions" for his damage. Plus pyro is generally a better DPS element.
    7- Xingqiu and Yelan, Yelan is amazing, high damage and a nice buff, plus can wield Elegy. Xingque is Yelan but with more utilities and less personal damage. High Damage, damage resistance, interruption resistance, some healing, high hydro application, hydro res shredding, etc. If you ask me, i personally prefer Xingqiu a bit more than Yelan but they are overall unless you have c6 yelan lol.
    8- Bennet, He would have been higher IF a lot of DPS that are now released had atk scaling. I am not saying new DPS dont benefit from his buff but hoyo is trying to move away from him, Neuv and Mualani dont use him. Alhaitham, Tighnari, Cyno, etc can benefit from him but eh there are better options. Plus buffers like Furina helps you escape circle impact. So while he is still super busted, his value has gone down a little.
    9- Raiden Shogun – She could very well be higher. Heck raiden national is still one of the craziest teams out there. Not to mention you can even run her in hyperbloom/she does off-field electro and buffs your bursts and gets your energy up. Well Kuki is arguably the best for hyperblooms, not because she is better than raiden but because raiden on hyperbloom build feels blasphemous. Booba sword raiden is the best raiden.
    10- Xiangling – Do i need to say anything? Heck for how easy she is to build, she may as well go higher on this list. Like this girl runs on almost any weapon, a lot of set options. Just give her bennet as partner and she is a beast.
    11- Baizhu – Dendro is broken. His healing is amazing. He does party wide heals. He does off-field healing AND he buffs dendro reaction damage. He is simply a very very good unit, specially now that Furina is out, healers like him are just too priceless. He is part of one of the best DPS team of this game currently(aka Neuv – kaz – furina – baizhu). He is simply super underrated.
    12- Navia and Nilou – The amount of front loaded damage that navia can do is crazy. Not to mention she is not shackled by the typical defense geo trope and she can make use of elemental reactions too, so you dont need to worry about finding teammates for her. 200-300k is very easy with casual Navia builds. Nilou is super easy to build, heck she can even do a lot of damage as hydro dps, but her best team, aka the bloom team is sooo broken. The amount of damage that it does is insane. The damage may feel passive as you dont actively hit big numbers but the enemies fall so quickly.
    13 – Sucrose- Super underrated but she is your budget kazuha. And even then she is super duper good. People just ignore her way too much just because kazuha is too good.
    14- Fischl – I would have placed her above, with Raiden Shogun, if she had any other inbuilt utility. But still, Oz can stack up an ungodly amount of damage off-field. Plus she is a nice battery.
    15 – Kinich, he is dendro navia. Super fun to use. Very high damage.
    16 – Faruzan at C6(by extension Wanderer and Xiao with Faruzan C6) – She is a god tier support for anemo. Like even without C6, you usually want to run her for her buff even if her ER needs are hard to manage without her final const. She is good AND she makes Wanderer and Xiao shine. The only downfall is perhaps that there arent a lot of units that benefit from her. Realistically she only works with Wanderer and Xiao. Maybe Heizou if you main him, while other buffers can support a lot more. But for simply the fact that she single handedly revived DPS anemo meta is amazing.
    17 – Kokomi – Best element. Amazing healer. She is simply a very tried and tested healer. And as I said, Furina makes healers valuable. So healers like baizhu, kokomi and jean have heir values sky rocketted.
    18- Mualani and Lyney – They both are amazing DPS characters but feel quite clunky to play tbh.
    19- Emilie and Chevruse(C6) – I feel these two also deserve a spot here mainly for the changes they brought in their reaction meta. Emilie is very strong despite what everyone says. While chevruse is an amazing buffer that can benefit a lot of characters. The only thing that really holds them back is the fact that they are very niche.
    20 – Zhongli – It feels very sad to put him so low(perhaps he isnt even in top 20 anymore) but he is my personal bias. He may not be the best offensive option but he is definitely the best defensive unit. While Genshin as a game does not thrive on defensive play, I feel Zhongli has an entirely separate fanbase amongst players who arent looking for efficient teams or aggressive game plays. A lot of players play for fun and would love to win fights without having to invest wayy too much into their characters, Zhongli allows that by increasing survivability.

    Honorable mentions
    1- Tighnari – Not the strongest, but consider yourself lucky if you lose your 50/50 to him. Arguably the best standard character and hence he deserves a shoutout.
    2- Kuki Shinobu – Probably one of the best hyperbloom characters, and even if not, she is still a reliable healer + you can run her on tenacity for its buffs. Not to mention, if Fischl and Raiden werent there, she would have been the best hyperbloom/off-field electro character out there.
    3- Wriothesley and Hutao – Simply for the massive improvements their C1 brings to the table. They go from good units to broken units at C1.
    4- Xianyun – She was non in the list mainly because i feel Faruzan at C6, Chevruse C6 and Emilie have done more for the meta than what she had. Yes plunge teams are very strong, however i dont feel she is the Top 20 material.
    5- Chlorinde, good dps and the fact that she has in-built survivability mechanic makes her an amazing character.
    6- Ayato and Childe – Ayato is a casual players best friend. He isnt like Childe, and wont hit nukes. But he is very easy and comfy to use. Plus he is fairly easy to use. And hydro is a broken element anyway
    7- Yao Yao – She is most likely the best character from the chibi roster lol. She is very very good, adn the only reason she doesnt make it up to the top 20 is the fact that Baizhu, Nahida and Emilie exist.
    8- Gaming – He deserves honor for being a 4 star DPS that can dish out such crazy numbers.

    Xilonen and kazuha are about the same but I would put xilonen a little above since her buffs last longer and she heals and also that abyss nowadays mostly has single target bosses rather than a lot of groupable enemies where kazuha is better than xilonen in grouping and he also has better personal damage.

  24. My take on Yelan Vs Xingqiu. Since Furina has come out Yelan is objectively better. Xingqiu doesnt benefit from double Hydro whereas Yelan does, Furina and Yelan together have enough Hydro to vape even though Xingqiu has better Hydro app. Furina also makes a healer needed so Xingqiu's dmg reduction isnt really needed. Even in hyperbloom if you're running kuki you dont need another defense option and Yelan has more than enough Hydro app to get alot of bloomcores while increasing your main dps dmg. The only teams Xingqiu is better in than Yelan is solo hydro vape teams. Yelan is just the better option in most teams than Xingqiu.

  26. my top 20 ranking, feel free to roast me for my opinion, (the order may be wrong)

    (gameplay wise not lore wise) – its prob better than the video but may be biased

    0: – reserved for yae miko

    1: zhong li, – you have him, you cannot die

    2: neuvillette, – he can solo the abyss at c0, insanely broken

    3: furina – team wide buffer, healer, damage dealer.

    4: kazuha – best crowd control ingame (arguably the best) – deff a must pull

    5: xilonen – shreds resistance and buffs elements, – could switch with kazuha

    6: arlecchino – again a very broken and strong dps

    7 : chlorinde, – one of the only characters wielding a gun, is a very good dps + she heals herself

    8: nahida – she can chain enemies together with her skill, applies dendro very well

    9: mualani – very broken would be higher if there were more characters she could synergize with

    10: kinnich – the same as mualani

    11: yelan – (they mentioned xing xiu but hes the f2p version of her)

    12: raiding shotgun – i mean raiden shogun (very versatile but there are more meta characters

    13: navia -should be higher on the list, she is a very strong geo dps that works well in multi elemental teams (synergizes well with furina)

    14: bennet – very f2p friendly team wide healer/ damage buffer

    15: xiang ling, very good pyro applier no real down sides

    16: jean – tuonto likes her alot can see why, she heals well applies different elements with swirl well, can act as resistance shredder

    17: kokomi, best healer ingame

    18: chevruse – she has a gun that goes pew, heals you for her max hp and buffs your dps, (she scales off of hp which is 90% of everyones artifact rolls so its good.

    19: chiori, – very underrated, she has good movement in the overworld, allowing herself to dash in any given direction, she summons a geo turret which is impossible to break, she does decent damage

    20:sucrose – she is a f2p version of kazuha

Honestly impressed they were able to name almost 20 meta characters, even if half the order was scuffed I definitely expected a lot more that weren't even close to Top20 but I think Wriothesly was really the only sneak and I can't believe they forgot my goat Navia. They also seemed to actually understand each character's purpose and not say anything that made it seem like they don't actually play the game
