yoimiya talks about existing more than onr yae miko
The tails have multiple meanings. Yae is a Kitsune and it is Said that kitsune grow more tails with a maximum of nine. When a kitsune Gas Nine tailes she gains the status of a god.
The three Yae Miko’s may link to the fact that no one really knows the true Yae Miko (if I remember correctly) and so the three Miko’s may represent that
I would like to think that the 3 Yae are just genjutsus, and the real Yae is the friends we made along the way.
I think her character art said something about her hiding her true self by acting like different versions of herself ,so I think that’s why three Yaes are shown.

I remember that in Yoimiya’s Quest, she mentioned something about how Yae Miko appeared in different places at the same time…could that be the reason why there were 3 Yae Miko’s?

5 tails means 400 years as she would have been born with one to begin with. (Assuming that she did indeed grow a new tail cyclically after each century of being incarnate.)

3 also appears in the number of elemental skill things she can make. So I think it’s likely 3 is an important number

i think the three Yae represent her three "Personality" which is the Shrine Maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine Guuji Yae, the Novelist Yae Miko, and the always so-horny Miko

I remember yoimiya's voice line about yae miko. I think the 3 yae miko in trailer are her twin or something identical her. And the scene where she in the shrine and scene where she's with the samurai enemy are different yae miko's body or something.

For the fact that mentions the sakura tree, I think that she takes/gets energy from the tree like how the gnosis’ worked (people pray to the statue of the seven, that goes to celestia, and to their gnosis)

The three Yaes could be because she has three charges of her elemental skill, as we now see in the demo, but I think it extremely likely that it does have some deeper symbolism.
And if the lore of the Pokemon Ninetales is accurate to real-life myths and legends, Kitsune do indeed gain one tail for ever hundred years, and at a thousand years their fur turns white or gold in color, depending on moral alignment(I think white for benevolent kitsune and gold for malevolent). It's been a long, long time since I read that, however, so I recommend checking kitsune legends for yourself.
