My heart felt slightly crushed to see Tighnari put so low, I thought the colors and the theme of the demo set us up for a really great character. His music felt very calming but fun at the same time. Everything else was pretty spot on to what I think.
I think the issue with trying to make Ayato look badass is the way his animations work. For a character demo, him slapping everything in front of him at mach 5 doesn't really gel well with their constant use of slo-mo. And given that those are his sharpest movements, they hit more on his elegance thna his potential to be badass.
My thing with Scara's demo is how it's a very, very good demo but really only for the people who have been up Hyv's ass for the past two years. The comparisons to Raiden's demo and the symbolism and imagery are easy to gloss over otherwise. Not that that's a bad thing – it feels like a secret that's just meant for us – but it also means that everyone else who doesn't really care won't notice the brilliance.

The fact that ayato is over miko truly confused me
I think Zhongli's is by far the coolest, but I can't deny that Nahida's is the real shit, and it brings back and compounds the genuine emotional impact of her archon quests.
as for ayato's demo, I think I would have given it a low A. This is due to the fact that I got the vibes that hoyoverse was going for with his character/personality, but also because the music is absolutely wonderful and i love it so so much.
another thing i want to add is that it showed how gorou, kazuha and the rest of the resistance managed to make it to Tenshukaku in time to save the traveler (implying that Ayato basically saved the traveler's life thru sayu and then kazuha blocking the shogun's sword).
is it just me or does the beginning of Raiden's theme sound like Urbosa's theme from botw?

Nahidas demo is so above anyone elses its laughable. Its got everything you want in a demo and then some. She would be my number one easily followed by Yelan then Raiden.
Switch Ayaka's with Ganyu's and it's more objectively accurate.

Hot take…..I think Yae Miko’s….while suiting her mischievous side was…boring. Honestly, her whole character seems like she doesn’t take things seriously enough. And that’s a bit of a let down. We known she’s strong, has a fox form she refuses to show, and the whole “light novel” fixation gets annoying after a while. Idk, I wanted her to be a completely different character than what we got.

I've watched Nahida's demo so many times and yet watching here again the goosebumps and the tears came right back. It's so perfect for her.
I agree with this list especially on Nahida's demo. I thought it would be hard to top Raiden's but Nahida's definitely did for me.

Nahida's demo has the least violence but got dark both literally and figuratively
I expect Tsaritsa's trailer to have crucified by army of lovers in the background. And the sudden sprinkle of creepy cos thats what genshin's team is best at.
the same cant be said IMO about edgy trailers. Stakes are never high and everything flashes every second

One thing about Itto's demo I don't like, it feels like a showcase video but more flashy, while Raiden focuses more on her philosophy, while Kokomi's focuses on her lore and what she feels, Itto feels like just a showcase video
I expect the reason you expected Cyno to drop so much harder is due to the Trailer. The version trailer had a buildup on Candice’s theme and then a hard drop on Cyno
Hu Tao was and still is my favourite demo, her personality and style are just encapsulated perfectly and it shows off everything about her amazingly as a demo should.
