400 PRIMOGEMS EVERY WEEK FOR PATCH 2.7 DELAY! BUT… | Genshin Impact

Thank you all for the support!

So in today’s video I wanted to talk about the compensation that Hoyoverse just announced that will be happening every week until patch 2.7 drops. As always I give my thoughts and opinions on the matter but I want to get yours as well so let me know what you think down in the comments!

  1. This is great opoprtunity for many players to build pity, get the character cons (I would love to), save primos, prepare for the upcoming characters (Yelan in my case). I see no reason to be unhappy. Being rewarded is nice, but I dont necesarily need it. Needless to say, I am praying for the devs to stay safe and healthy.

  2. I noticed this morning they changed the text on the banner to "Until 2.6 is over", but the battle pass is still just a few days left. They should extend that as well. If I would be able to finish it I would spend the $10 to get it, but right now Im only at 34 with 5k left for the week.

  3. it does feel kinda bad that there's a serious situation happening over there and people are looking for a handout from something that's completely out of hoyo's control

  4. I completely agree with you on this one. Sure it's nice having the rewards and all but it shouldn't really be the main focus of the discussion. But I do hope that all of them stay safe.

  5. It would be nice enough to weigh both pro and con of circumstances, though it’s understandable really.
I’ll have more time to save for Shinobu to come with a c1. 🙏 No Yelan for me,I am playing smart with the gacha system here.
    Happy future pulls everyone! ☺️
May all those in Shanghai stay strong.

  7. Its definitely not a necessity for us to get compensation but it is a smart business decision. Regardless of the understandable reasoning they will take a hit because of this. People will understand the situation but they will still get bored of playing. Genshin will still lose popularity so they still need to give to the public and entice them to play when everything is back in order. Now people are thinking "wow if I keep playing I can have enough primos to get Yelan or another chance to get Ayaka." If they did nothing there wouldnt be much complaints but they would definitely lose some business. So this is definitely something they needed to do.

  8. The rewards are nice but Hoyoverse is doing this to try and keep players from quitting during the delay. I don’t think it will work nearly as well as they hoped it will.

  9. Ngl I was surprised when I heard the news but not going to complain for getting free primogems and we get one more event that give out primogems too so I’m fine with this

    More primogems for Kuki hehe😏

  10. For the circumstances I agree it’s generous because most agree it’s not necessary, but if you take away the real world issue, and they were delaying just because they weren’t ready or a delay for a delay the rewards would be really cheap. We get 300 primogems just for the down time between patches which is only a couple of hours. I think it’s important to put emphasis on the word “circumstance”.

  11. In the end they're still a business that offers live service so doing this compensation shows that they are handling it somewhat professionally. For our own conscience in this situation, we as consumer just gotta take what they offer graciously.

  12. Are there really players who asked to be compensated over the delay ? I mean, I’ve complained a lot about hoyoverse like of recognition of its player for some event, but I would never blame them for this particular delay. What they’re going through is awful and we should be the one to support them (just by playing the game or sending messages of support !!). I will take the reward because letting it go to waste won’t help them in any way, but honestly I feel icky about it.

  13. I hope for their sake we don't get much freemogems. But garanteed that some people will complain they should have done more. SMH.

PGR, TF, etc … Lots of competition coming… They are stepping up their game. They are maximizing good will by doing this now.

  14. Sorry for that but let remind ourselves it's billions $ company no need to feel guilty getting them actually most comments from the game community were positive

  15. It's simple; this is the minimum they can do to try and maintain their player base. It's not about being generous; it's a business strategy. While we can all be sympathetic to their situation, it's difficult to keep playing without any new content or characters. And to hold on a rerun banner is a very strange choice. I cannot fathom any reason for not offering a fresh interim banner other than wanting to lose money. I appreciate the compensation rewards, but unfortunately there's nothing compelling me to spend much time playing the game for the foreseeable future. I hope this horrible situation blows over soon and they're able to recover.

  16. If y'all care so much just don't claim the compensation even if it was sent to you.

For me compensation is not even for the delay. I see it as "Hey, we are sorry we never listen to you and don't try to make the game fun and engaging outside of ocasional fun events. Here is so primogems and we'll learn from this experience and give you something to work with in the future".

If this is not what this is about, I just don't care anymore

  17. Honestly, this might be seen as unsympathetic, but while it might feel wrong to accept compensation for a delay caused by pandemic, it is still fair. Really. I'm an F2P, but I imagine whales who have poured money into this game and still has their crystals/primos left are gonna take the biggest hit, especially when there's no end date to this problem. Their money are gonna stuck in there collecting dust.

If this doesn't end very soon, the best solution is to rotate rerun banners until they're ready to deploy the next patch. But this won't really satisfy whales who have C6 R5 everything. Not to mention, no endgame contents but Spiral Abyss twice a month.

If worse comes to worst, they really should do a refund. Even that I think is not feasible enough to do.

Let's just pray that everything's gonna get better pretty soon.

  18. The situation sucks in Shanghai and I agree with the sentiment, however at the end of the day Mihoyo is a business and Genshin Impact is a product. Mihoyo never officially stated WHY the update was delayed on social media or in game. The average player isn’t going to know any news on what’s going on in China. The compensation we’re getting is a business decision used to keep players engaged and satisfied until they’re able to release the update. If they did nothing then player interest would start to decline.

What’s your stance on us getting new unplanned events for this update? Technically that is another form of compensation.

  19. I mean primogems are free , why cheese us? 400? Why not 1000 a week? I disagree comp is warranted , so what we all have issues , you can't speak for us all just because you have a YouTube channel, I play everyday and support them with real money every month for 2 years! I should expect something better than 400. Also in a Country like China with dictatorship , people starving and committing suicide or dieing from lack of medical and doctors, you would think they would do something . I knew 2 people making the same wage at 13.oo hr the one Chinese and other Philippines, they were going through management changes and they both worked hard, one didn't want to ask for a raise and the other did, so the short of story is the Chinese person is still making 13 and the other over 25 an hour, just because the one at 13 didn't want to make waves and didn't feel she was worth it. So what's the lesson here?

  20. Bro the delay is not warranted at all. This patch is not being delayed because of Covid Genshin themselves have never even said that this is a Fanmade theory they literally said in this update it has been delayed due to project progression they are referring to their new game Honkai railroad. If you guys can speak Japanese in the Japanese Twitter update they literally even said they’re working on their new game that’s why this patch is delayed so it’s not OK. I feel like we are being forced to be politically correct and say always stay safe I hope everything‘s OK when in reality the pandemic situation has nothing to do with the reason this patch is being delayed it’s so infuriating that people are not understanding that and they’re blindly making excuses when in reality these kinds of patches are finished four months before the due date so this current situation has nothing to do with the timeline of this patch coming on time it makes no sense. My brother works for Square Enix And he was baffled how the fans are blaming this on Covid saying they understand he said it makes no fucking sense whatsoever a company finishes their patches at least three months before the due date

  21. They are a business. whether the delay is there fault or not or understandable or not doesnt matter. yes it is most definitely understandable and we all want them to be safe. doesnt mean that they arent going to, as you said, “reward” their fans for their patience and understanding. which is why i think “compensation” was bad phrasing.

  22. An attempt to keep their player base really. With all these games coming out and genshin lacking content, this is understandable. We all know that people nowadays has so little attention span and if hoyoverse slacks on this one, it's gonna be hard for them to comeback. Loyalty is everything
