The hydro archon has to be claymore there is no other choice. Archons are always first of their own element with a specific weapon. Example:
Venti is the first anemo with a bow.
Zhongli is the first geo with a polearm.
Raiden Shogun is the first electro with a polearm.
Nahida is the first dendro with a catalyst.
As for the hydro archon, every other weapon has been taken the only one left is claymore. This is also why I don’t think the pyro archon will be playable and maybe the Cryo archon, we haven’t seen a Cryo catalyst yet but that might be Charlotte.

I really want Neuvillette to secretly be the real Focalore(the Hydro Archon), but that is highly unlikely, because:
1) Fontaine's statue of the Seven is depicting a woman, thought it could be a long-haired man, but I feel like that's just wishful thinking;
2) the Archon is usually realised in the same update in which the end of their archon quests happen, and if Neuvillette is the Hydro Archon, that means that Fontaine's main story is shorter than Sumeru's, and I don't want that.

I think neuvillette will be like dainsleif because his eyes are kind of similar in a way with a diamond similar to a star shape in the middle or I could be wrong and it could be different I just think he reminds me of fauti harbinger the jester with how he kind of the right hand man to the hydro archon and he kind of doesn't have a vision but he is hydro all I know it he might be my favorite new character I cant wait.

Wriothesley is my most hyped character since dehya lol. Can't wait, he looks too cool! and His const is Cerberus? Thats amazing, his style reflects it well too. so all around great looking character and I like his personality, well the 5 seconds of it we got in the trailer.

I had spent all my primos on C6 Baizhu too… Hopefully I can save up enough again until my boys are released. I am even more intrigued about them than before the drip marketing. Can't wait for fontaine 🤩

2:20 Funny you say that, cause my first theory (based on the teaser) was that Fontaine had two archons (Furina and Neuvillette), something similar to Ei and Makoto, but then the trailer came out and people started talking about the Vishap/Dragon theory and I was like "ok thats way cooler than my theory 😂" But I have another theory…
It's probably wrong but I think Mihoyo is trying to fool us with the trailers. They showed Childe going against Neuvillette, but what if its just a act? What if he's just pretending to be mad as part of a bigger Fatui plan or something and Neuvillette is also a part of this plan? Maybe he has some kind of agreement with the Fatui but we don't know whats about yet.
Well we'll see what happens, I'm hyped for Fontaine! 😄

Neuvillette is 100% the 'former Hydro Archon' that Focalors dethroned. He already meets every checkmark but the nail in the coffin for me is that all the Oceanids performed a mass exodus of Fontaine after the former Archon was dethroned, because they didn't like the new one- and this man SCREAMS "oceanid king" with his design.
I have a theory even though I doubt it can be the truth
Maybe Futuna gave her gnosis to Neuvilette and he is able to use it. It would explain how he can use the power of hydro without a vision. Or maybe he's an Oceanid and that would explain why he seems to be in cold with Focalors
