quick shield guide!:
All elemental reactions help break shields, even geo and anemo as long as theyre not the same as the shield. If you want to try your luck u can see if an anemo chara picks up anothers element that u want to break the shield with to try and avoid having to build a catalyst character specifically for this! its sometimes luck sometimes timing but if the other option is building someone from scratch id highly reccomend trying anemo support first!
The elements that do the most dmg to certain types of shields are the following:!
SHIELD > ELEM
These differentiate based on the enemy type, so first is Fatui!:
Electro > Cryo
Cryo > Pyro
Pyro > Hydro
Hydro > Electro (though ive noticed pyro does a lot of dmg here too, probs because youre getting vaporize applied)
Next is magic chickens! Pretty straightforward here though!
Pyro > Hydro
Hydro > Cryo
Cryo > Pyro

this is bad advice. the last floor is just a survivability check. i beat it with not even close to max zhongli, xiangling, fischl and barbara for the first half and keqing, venti, noelle and chongyun for the second half.
also this new updated abyss is easier because you don't have to protect the monolith from fatui agent and cicin mage
