Seeing as we’re on the cusp of Sumeru and possibly meeting some new Harbigners, I thought now would be a great time to take a stab at predicting what number our unknown Harbingers are, AND their constellations! But the method by which the predictions take place… well, it’s a little unorthodox.

I think the biggest hint of how there are numbered is the fact that the Fatui are looking for a replacement number 8. This proves that 1. It’s not in order of recruitment (Tartaglia’s still 11) and 2. it’s not power level becauss the Fatui would need to be REALLY specific and nitpicky if they wanted someone who is 8th overall
Great video! Honestly I don't know why but I have a sneaking suspicion that Katheryne might be connected to Sandrone. Since we know she's not totally human and that the Adventurers' Guild is based in Snezhnaya, it would make sense that the Fatui would have someone inside an organization that works throughout the continent.
Although I don't know if she would be someone they control or if she is Sandrone…. (maybe they could work like the Herrscher of Domination from Honkai?)

I just wanted to say that in numerology:
Number 11 is a number which helps you get through hardships or darkness, inner strength in times of trial, coping well with crisis and chaos.
But the number 6 is the number most associated with love, family and home life… which contradicts Scaramouche's story. It'd be ironic and almost cruel… which it makes sense.
Then number 8 is highly associated with femenine figures, cycles and infinity. Also with wealth and status… reminds me of Signora a lot, since she talked about her high status, elegance, and even in the Tenshukaku scene, she talks about her position in society.
Also the number 4 finds its higher purpose is in the “doing", but that's it. Dottore doesn't have the other qualities of the number. Perfection and structure are the perfect definitions of the number four… maybe the puppet, as seen perfect.
If the gnosticism is related to Celestia, maybe the Tsaritsa doesn't want her troops following their pattern.
That's what I think about numerology but I do also think that you are absolutely right. Just my lil theory!

This is perfect, because after Raiden grilled Signora, the 2 fatui members in Monds talked about who would REPLACE her.
It always stumped me a bit because that means that each harbinger is replaceable and that one harbinger dying doesn't move the ranking.
This automatically disproves the "first come first serve" idea and by extent the age as well.
I just randomly thought they were ranked by loyalty when all the other 3 ranks didn’t work but then I remembered how Scaramouche just left and disappeared so it couldn’t be that. Your theory is probably right though lol.

I actually had this thought that the world of genshin is just a big act. Especially considering that archon quests are separated through acts and that, in the manga, when Vennessa enters Celestia, it looks like one of those big stadiums.
This does makes a lot of sense. Also it was mentioned somewhere in Yelan's voice over or story that Pantalone is actually gonna give Tsaritsa a gift which supports this theory.
Also in a quest in Inazuma where Arlecchino was mentioned, the fatui in shrine maiden has two identities, which I can relate to "duality". Not directly the fatui harbinger but watching this vid made me remember that quest and it makes sense that HYV kind of like giving info/hint about Arlecchino.
I’d like to think that the Tsaritsa keeps Ajax around because he has power from both the Abyss and Celestia.
I hope harbringer numbers have meaning cuz in honkai theres 13 last hope of humanity with numbers aswell and the meaning of the numbers?yeah its just because some pink elf wanted to place them in those numbers XD so im hoping the harbringers have meaning in the numbers

Why would I? You're actually a genius, this has been bothering me for a very long time. I had assumed for a long time that Harbingers were ranked by seniority (specifically in the order that they've become Harbingers in), but after Raiden atomizes La Signora, Mikhail mentions something about the 8th Harbinger position being filled by someone new (rather than being replaced by the 9th Harbinger), and in the 2.2 Labryinth event, Childe mentions nothing about becoming the 10th Harbinger (hell, by that logic he should be the 9th Harbinger, since Scaramouche may have gotten kicked out of the list as well – speaking of, I wonder if we will see replacements for La Signora and Scaramouche during the game, or if we'll reach Snezhnaya before the replacements occur).
Also I can't get the idea out of my head of Pulcinella eating handfuls of spaghetti now. >_<

This raises quite a question, can someone be granted the title of a former harbinger?
I asked because since Pietro, Scaramouch, Signora, and possibly Dotore, can be dated back by centuries, would that mean all the other harbingers can be granted extend life or immortality? Or is it simply a matter of succession?
Bringing Tartaglia into the mix, if the roles were to be permanent, that means that since the conception of this organization, there haven't been any candidates for that role until Ajax.

My understanding of “numerology” is very similar, if you find this helpful: 1: first born, masculine forceful energy. Also known as the fool (the hero’s journey), 2: feminine energy, the mother, union, partnerships of all kinds. Balance. 3: Creation. The 2 create 3. Creativity, imagination and abundance also work. 4: marriage, union in a traditional/religion way. Stability. 4 is sturdy foundation. 5: Conflict. Drama, tension. At best, playful teasing.
