Based on Neuvillette's Vision story, a Dragon Sovereign's Authority is needed to grant a Vision.
Celestia (or whatever automated system they have) can grant visions because they stored the Dragon Sovereigns' Authorities in the Divine Thrones.
Here's a bit of a leap in logic. Neuvillette says he granted a little of his power to Furina, so whoever is sitting on the divine throne (i.e. the current archon) likely has to give up little bits of their power to grant Visions.
Here's another leap. The reason why the backgrounds and motivations of Vision holders have patterns specific to an element is likely because Vision holders (a.k.a. Allogenes, Genshin ("proto-god")) are meant to be backups for the archons.
It's baffling to still see comments ignoring the fact that Furina got her vision the same way as any other vision holder. Neuv just replaced the previous source of power and agreed to take part in automated Celestia system. And people still devalue her ambition playing role in her vision appearing…
You deserve Paimon, guys, you can't be helped.
The trees in the new area remind me so much of the trees in Enkomomia.
Speaking of "Flaying", I find it funny how in Mondstadt you'd need a license in order to use a glide to fly, in every other Nation, specifically Natlan, seems that no one needs a license to do so.
Mondstadt, the Nation of Freedom, force you to have a license to fly. Hilarious.
The Wingless storyline is gonna be a metaphor for students who don't get straight A's.
7:26 To add on that, Neuivilette now got his full power as an ancient dragon, the same power Celestia uses to grant visions, so if Neuivilette obtained back the ancient hydro dragon power he should be able to easily grand hydro visions as he please.
I am in no way trynna start a fight or anything this is just respectful discussion but bran's theory doesn't make sense because who would that vision even be for? dragons do not need a vision they are elemental beings, when you fight the vishaps and other such enemies they do not have visions because they are elemental beings. It was the same with dragons and this is a known fact. Humans did not exist at the time because it was the primordial one who created humans after they concurred the dragons.
I thought there is no AQ for 5.2 because the devs said the AQ primogems' reward would be available for 5.0, 5.1, and 5.3.
But I'm still excited for the new Archon Quest
Why would dragons make visions in their time when they can control the elements on their own 😅. And they sure as hell aont giving their powers to humans. Something the heavenly principles love.
What if our little one is actually what happens to past pyro archons? Because since it looks like a vision, then wouldn’t it make sense that masterless visions could help our little one explore its home? It’s probably got something to do with Xbalanque’s past. And from the inazuma archon quest, we found that people with strong ambition, like kazuha, can reawaken masterless visions, and what if that’s how we gain the pyro ability?
Jesus christ!… oh my farking god!!!….
man just want to make a point but seriously that dude wasn't willing to bend.
Man that one chatter not turning his listening with comprehension on was funnier the longer it went and it also helped Bran get the video longer so I guess it not the worst thing. As long as Bran isn't too tilted about it, I personally get very frustrated when someone isn't listening to what I'm saying. That's one of the reasons I'm not a streamer 😀
EXCITED FOR 5.2 UPDATE ..
but , I do hope we get to learn more about the dragons from that era , and about Nuevi lore in the future .
Holy shit even if brans theory is wrong (which we dont KNOW, thats why its a THEORY) chat needs some reading comprehension bc what are they even arguing, that not even related to anything bran said 😭
"Based, on the dragon's behalf!"
Umm, so you think the dragons are 'based' for imprisoning humans??
And Och-kan is a "puzzy, btch behavior" for resenting his former slave masters???!?
Maybe he shouldn't take his anger out on all dragons, but I don't think you realize how unhinged your take sounds. And you said it so casually.
I can't imagine calling any form of slavery "based"…
1:02 Who's washing a window?!
Bro Bran’s right, if some of you forgotten the fact that one the story with Dain it talked about how celestia have been inactive for over 500 years
I'm excited to learn more about natlan history about the dragons. I'm also curious about the guy who freaking won against the pyro sovereign. What a giga chad.
Sorry Bran, you’re wrong my guy. Golden Entreaties were specifically stated during Pledge and Forgettance to be items where both dragon and human inscribed their marks. They’re essentially a friendship badge.
Bran, the vision granting process is automated. There have been countless times in the story where characters go “X should have definitely invoked celestial wrath but they haven’t done anything” Neuv set aside a part of his acquired power to ensure the vision granting process for hydro wasn’t interrupted and Furina was one of the first people to qualify for a hydro vision while it was being powered by dragon juice
i cannot with ochkanatlan since in russian it's literally just anusnatlan and ochkan is, respectively, an anus-er
Hoyo: let's plan the game 10 years advance
Players: lore speculation civil war
The qucasaur part reminds me of avatar when they also go through like a trial for riding the dragons
5"07 Ochkanatlan looks like enkanomiya but over ground. A towering central giant structure, floating rocks, everything broken, bridges etc. It looks like enkanomiya but bring it above ground and make it look grander
The tokens are the eyes of the pyro dragon tho?
Bran I don't completely understand where you're going with these arguments but the pyro dragon gives its blessing to the Saurians, I think that's what you're referring to? Little one has the blessing and so the Golden Tyrant but we have no information about Apep doing this either to the life forms within it or to the Wenut
However on the other hand Neuvillette simply allows Hydro Visions to be delivered, letting Celestia's automatic system act taking some of his authority to create the Visions
Bran, to who dragons give the visions, if humans werent here before First One appearance and Celestia creation?
Hi, I lost my 50/50, main clorinde, should I continue getting nahida or wait 5.2 ? (already have c1 tighnari)
10:48 you can say your point, disagree, and still be wrong. Its been said and reiterated that the Heavenly Principles is asleep, they're obviously not gonna notice the secret plot by focalors to destroy the seat of the hydro god and return of Neuvillete's power. And this idea of ancient visions makes no sense when you consider that when the dragons reigned there were no humans in teyvat. Why would dragons need visions? They innately control the elements already.
There was no elements before celestia
why do I get the feeling this dragon is gonna be another davalin situation or durin from simulanka
The little back and forth in chat was such a great reminder why I rarely engage with lore theories online. Absolotely no shade to anyone involved but I've seen so many people be like "but that's just my theory" and people will jump to tear it apart because someone messed up one fact, even if the rest of their argument is sound. We know that celestia is asleep and we also know that the archons/neuvi play some part in granting visions but that's it. You can assume visions are being given out on autopilot based on those facts but you could also argue that its an entity outside of celestia specifically giving out visions. We know the shades have more influence in teyvat than we originally assumed. Everything is just a theory until confirmed, yknow? Just have fun and spitball with others online! I personally really like Bran's theory about some sort of primordial vision since its clear Phanes didnt exactly create everything himself lol. He took what was existing and worked around it.
Regarding Visions being granted, it's likely an automatic process Celestia put in place that takes the power set aside by the Authority holders to grant people visions when they become worthy. While it could be argued Neuvillette gave Furina her Vision himself, I believe that it merely a result of this automatic process taking the power Neuvillette set aside as the new Authority holder. He did, after all, say himself that he will be setting power aside as he does believe some humans could become worthy in his views.
The hardest evidence of this process being automatic and not directly by Celestia is Scaramouche. Celestia is asleep, so how can they give Visions right now? Scaramouche received his Vision right before our very eyes, and the Anemo Throne has not been destroyed. Venti still holds the Authority as far as we know (though I have other thoughts about that, but this isn't the time), and we know from Ei that Archons do not know for who or why a Vision is granted; only that they choose to set aside their power for when they do get granted.
So if the Archons/Neuvillette don't directly give the Visions, and Celestia is currently asleep so they cannot currently give Visions, then the only possible explanation is that the process for Vision granting is automatic based on some unknown criteria and uses the power of the current Authority holder to create it.
It is a fact, however, that Visions are a post-Celestia thing. From Nevuillette's own lore about Visions it says they were created as a byproduct of creating the Gnoses, and the Authority holders must set aside their power for it. Neuvillette, not being part of the Heavenly Princples, is not forced to set aside his power, but he chooses to do so because he believes humans to be worthy.
From Neuvillette's character story "Visions":
"Neuvillette does not need a Vision to manipulate the elements. However, there were some things he learned only after regaining his complete form:
Severely wounded in the great war of vengeance, the usurper had their functions ruined, and could no longer use their absolute authority to suppress the original order of this world. To continue to subdue and control the resentments and loathing of the world, the usurper and one who came after created the Gnoses together. So it came to be that an order was made to be upheld, and thus did humans come to only possess these seven remembrances, and all fragments of the primordial were driven to devour each other.
From that day on, whenever a person's wishes reached the heavens, the seven overseers of the material realm were duty-bound to grant them a gift. Though they might know nothing of who or what wish had stepped into the threshold of the sacred, the Seven Archons still had to impart a shattered shard of their mastery to that person. And when one so gifted completed their duty… the gift the gods would receive in return would be more abundant still.
Neuvillette obeys no edict from the heavens, but he does acknowledge human will. So he too set aside parts of himself, as like unto the dragon-treasure hoards of old, awaiting valiant humans to come and claim them."
the trial in the flower feather clan and the way that guy in the trailer flies suddenly reminded me of the flying squirrels in simulanka
I came up with a stupid fuckin crack theory
It’s along the lines of Mavuika’s sister being Capitano but instead it’s Bennett being the reincarnation of the sister, it’s stupid ik and so totally wrong but it’s hilarious
Ugh, I feel like everyone is just disagreeing semantically on what "granting" a Vision means here. "Granted" can mean an active act of giving, but it can also mean passively allowing. People argue Bran is wrong because they think he's saying Neuvillette actively chucked a vision at Furina when I don't think that's what he was trying to communicate at all. Bran was probably just saying that Furina's vision comes from Neuvillette, not Celestia. So when the chatter disagreed with him, they weren't arguing over the same thing. Chatter thought Bran was saying Neuvi actively choose and made a vision for Furina and Bran thought chatter was saying that Celestia was giving her hydro powers.
As for the others claiming that Bran is wrong by stating that it's Celestia that grants visions through an automated system that somehow taps into Neuvillette's hydro authority, please reexamine whatever source that made you so convinced that that's fact. Neuvi's character story states that "the seven overseers of the material realm […] are duty-bound […] to impart a shattered shard of their mastery to that person [whose wishes had reached the heavens]." Neuvi and Furina's character stories (along with the unique design of her vision casing) heavily imply that Furina's vision is a shard of elemental mastery that comes from a Sovereign's instead of an Archon's — so that we can safely assume is true. But while that gives us a clear answer of where visions get their power, the why and the how of bestowing visions are still relatively unknown. People automatically assuming it's through an automated system via Celestia are taking one specific interpretation of "duty-bound" (the interpretation that the Seven are bound by an automated system outside of their conscious control and Neuvillette, for some inexplicable reason, is part of this system as well despite being a Sovereign) for fact when, in reality, it's just a theory that doesn't have any explicit evidence and is propped up by a line of assumptions about the lore. It's a popular theory that could very well be confirmed into the future! But it's an unconfirmed theory nonetheless.
More WuWa videos, when?
It’s coming to gamepass and we get some items listed at the bottom. Can anyone explain what these are and how it will affect my playthrough vs someone on the gacha mobile side?

Neuvilette doesnt grant visions directly. None of them do. So many people saw Neuvilette smile as he watched Furina get a vision and decided he did it. He didn't. Raiden Shogun is proof to stop saying this. When she was told Electro visions stopped being given out, she had no idea. There are theories but we still havent been told why in-game.
10:07 the thing is the gods take interest in people like her, another example is Keqing 😭 but yeah Archons don't grant visions but they get basically get like the aspirations(There was sum stuff that Raiden talked abt or it was in written from) of that person AND have a part in the gifting of a vision, but Archons DON'T gift visions, but when Ei was locked away in the plane of euthmiya(idk if i spelt that right) no one got an electro vision. The one that was gave to Furina has lil fangs, which means Neuvillette obviously has something to do with the process of her obtaining a vision. So Archons take part in it but aren't the ones gifting the vision. :3
Where Nahida Birthday event vod
bro I wanna yell at that chatter myself…. the whole reason Celestia controls visions and who gets them etc. is because they SEIZED THE AUTHORITY FROM THE DRAGONS – meaning that when Neuvi got his authority back it was 10000000% his own choice and actions that granted Furina her Hydro vision. Which is pretty good evidence to back up your theory Bran, that before Celestia(in a time where the sovereign Dragons still had their elemental authorities) it's entirely possible that there could've been something akin to visions. There's little physical evidence left because Celestia has wiped away that whole time period, but Neuvilette asserting his ability and power to grant someone a vision once in control of said authority again is pretty solid grounds to make that assumption.
And just to throw something wild out there – Neuvi's character stories along with anyone else's can't be 100% reliable, as he was only reborn a few hundred years ago and has had memories that aren't his own 'returned' to him after regaining the sovereign authority. We can't entirely trust those memories as a source, nor can we rely on the huge gap of time that he wasn't present. Remember Nicole(N) said – "Believe your own eyes. Only that which you see is true. What is unseen is but an illusion."
to prove bran's theory, elemental energy was stolen from the dragond sovereigns, because as we already know, a gnosis is quite literally the sealed powers of dragons
For Iansan, my best theory is that she's 2nd only to Mavuika in strength among Natlan Locals. This is shown by her apparently training many in her tribe and also the fact that she solo'd the Pilgrimage Tournament. Mavuika also seems to have a huge amount of trust in her. She'll probably be like Clorinde or Arle where she'll arrive towards the end though between 5.5 and 5.8.
