  2. "Why is there no shit like this in the game"
Bruh, how did miss the child sacrifices (one by by skining a kid alive), the torture and experimentations on kids (and adults), the genocide of a desert tribe, etc… The game is dark when you're not a dialogue skipper

  3. I don't like open world games myself for the same reason. I do try my best to turn that aspect off lol. Hell I barely play elden ring just off and o because it is open world. For Genshin I play it at my own pace, it's whatever. Open world will never be my favorite genre.

  4. I’m not sure if you ever started sumeru but from that nation onwards a lot more darker themes are explained and shown in a number of quests and in game lore that are rlly intriguing!! So if u ever do eventually come back I hope that’s something u can look forward to becoming interested in! As well as this, the sub areas in Inazuma (Tsurumi island and Enkanomiya) both have very amazing main world quests in both areas, the story lines are both extremely dark which is something you’d probably also be interested in. But as a Genshin player I definitely do agree that i wish the game can be a lil more darker when presenting the stories, we normally read up about the darker lore in text form which I rlly love and appreciate, but being able to see it presented in a quest would be awesome too!

  5. I really hope you come back!!! I also felt burnt out so I also kinda took 8 months and came back. man, fontaine story blew my mind and now arlecchino, and im also starting to love the game again. I think its okay to sometimes feel burnt out, but genshin’s kinda the game where it doesn’t matter when you stopped or not, you can just log in again and go from where you last were. enjoy it!

  6. The genshin story is one of the only things that's been in constant improvement since the later half of Sumeru.

The Fontaine story has a lot of dark themes too.

It's a meme now that children born in Fontaine lost the 50/50 with everything that happens to them 💀

  7. People who think that Genshin is not dark and is for kids should really play the Enkanomiya World quest…It's criminal how they didn't voiced that quest so people ended up skipping it and I can't blame anyone for skipping it either…But this is another huge issue with Genshin….

Genshin world quests are super awesome and sometimes better than the Archon quest itself in terms of lore but it's like Visual novel and not many people like reading that much in a video game.!!!

  8. i know that well bro, as we got older it kinda something that make us fun to play is disappearing little by little. but seriously bro no need to think that far, just enjoy it, u know i just barely create new genshin account just to want the feel like newbie again, and it still fun, not gonna lie. im day 1 player since genshin open the server and im still playing it . i play with slow pace so it not really burden me. just slowly but sure its clear, and yeah all map until fontaine recently i already 100% it all. but there's still hidden thing that im not sure what to trigger it.

and since inazuma until fontaine , the story getting more dark. there's still 1 character story that i dont want to clear it, just because its to dark for glass heart people like me. i got spoiled by the internet peoples -_-

1 sub from me bro, i just love your honest "STEP ON ME FATHER!!" reaction , because thats my lines too XD… AHHHHH FATHER MORE CRUSH MY SKULL !!

  9. It's understandable that Genshin's presentation isn't for everyone. It personally appeals to me very much (and I honestly don't mind not everything being voiced because I'd want to listen to every line and that would extend play time significantly when I do also have other games I'd like to play XD). As others have said, with varying degrees of kindness, that the game is darker the deeper you dig. The world seems bright and shiny aesthetically, and it is a more "hopeful" game than HI3 or HSR, but it does still have a world built on tragedy and suffering. I think their philosophy is demonstrated most clearly by the fact that the darkest shit in this game requires you to: Complete one subregion's main WQ line, complete the next region's main WQ line, complete a few smaller post-quests, and then play the epilogue the game didn't tell you existed until you completed all the prior steps.

All that said, the game was always going to naturally get darker on the surface as it progressed and it will continue to do so, and that makes sense for its main arc. I understand where you're coming from with your "completionist outlook," I can see how their style of storytelling can be off-putting with the mindset you have. I don't have everything completely yet, myself, but I learn about thing I may have missed through discussions with others, so that alleviates any concerns I have about that, but that's just me.
