  3. So many characters in genshin but there are only few I consider actually well written. Shenhe, nahida, and furina. Arlechino might be the 4th. Its already half way there. She already have one of the best bg story. Pls be good

  28. Something came to mind… I don't think we heard the name of "Mother" at all in this time and also the name Peruere. I'm thinking that this might be a similar thing with Aventurine in Star Rail. In that how he killed the previous Aventurine and took his name at the end of it, when she killed "Mother" and was made a Harbinger she took her "Mother's" name of Arlecchino. That's the theory I'm going with. And if that is the case, If I had a nickel for every hoyo character that killed their master and took their name I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

  37. I thought the trailer was kinda underwhelming. Not only did it just spoil her whole story but I feel like it did it in such an unsatisfying way. The 2 new characters were both random no ones so her actions and feelings towards them did nothing for me. Compared to the simple way HSR does their animated shorts which feels more like small teasers for the characters whithout giving much away. This had the same issue I had with HSR 2.1, which is it aims to be flashy and deep without first getting us fully invested in the characters they're being flashy and deep with (I'm looking at you Acheron)

  40. since this confirmed her arms to be a curse, I can't help but believe even more now that she's connected to the Narzissenkreuz. Her whole design is just so close to Caterpillar

As good as this is, you can tell theres a difference in treatment among games still, at the beginning when you see the HYV logo for exemple u do NOT see "MihoyoAnime" as a part of this, nor a collaborative animation studio, and you can visibly tell theres a drop in animation and art quality compared to their previous animated shorts in other games. I really wish they would for once apply equal treatment even if I do not play genshin anymore.

    As a stand alone thing if we ignore the "best they can do" the short is really good and im glad they are moving forward to develop characters and the game using external sources aswell.

  42. Says I'm glad genshin is starting to do animated shorts as well "completely forgets about winter nights lazzo". Plus the chances that they'll continue doing animated shorts isn't very high imo, considering that the aforementioned one was more than a year ago💀
