  1. Parts I disagree on..
    1. Dendro Traveler and Collei being 'benched'. They're both still good units. I get that not everyone will use them in place of limited 5star characters or something, but 'benched' feels off. Maybe 'okay'. Though might be me just not liking the term 'benched'.
    2. Why is Candace in 'was never good'. She's not a bad character and her kit isn't bad. Different yes but not bad. Like stated hydro infusion isn't something we see lot of. Think she should be moved up to 'niche' category instead.
    3. The cryo 4stars are not all essential the same. What haha. Also no they don't all play into freeze. Freminet's kit is built around shatter reaction, yes it utilizes the freeze reaction but thats still a different reaction in the end. Mika honestly doesn't give enough cyro to be ideal for freeze. Thats not saying he's bad, he's decent for more physical teams, people need to stop sleeping on him. Point is no not all 4star cryo characters are based on freeze. Players just seem to have a habit of limiting cryo characters to that reaction at times.
    4. Dehya is good. This is not copium. She provides resistance to interruption, off field pyro, and is a tank if built correctly. People need to understand characters and playstyles are allowed to be different. I'll accept 'benched' but she is absolutely still playable.
    5. Disagree with Mika being 'benched', feel 'niche' would be a better fit. He doesn't provide enough cryo to work well on more traditional cryo reactions, but that does automatically make him bad. He still works with physical teams, therefore making him niche. Also if someone needs a healer he's very simple to build.
    6. Kaveh doesn't belong in 'was never good', rather he should be in 'niche'. Similar to Nilou, his kit focuses on the bloom reaction. Its just less limiting then Nilou, with hers requiring only dendro and hydro characters. Kaveh is to my knowledge the only character that doesn't get damaged from the bloom reaction. His kit does the opposite and heals him. Other characters require healing after the bloom detinates. Man is a niche playstyle, that doesn't make him bad.

I dont know. At the end of it, matter of personal opinion and all that actually matters is if people have fun. Its a game. Having fun is the main key part.

  2. Just reminding, both Tighnari and Dehya weapons can come back on the new banner (forgot the name, the one with Albedo/Klee/Eula) so they're not lost forever, just that they need longer time to come back compared to the others

  3. This was probably recorded before it was out but hunters path and beacon both came out on the last chronicled wish banner and I expect on future chronicled wishes we will see them again

  4. When it comes to my nilou and Keqing teams I’m still quick to use dendro MC. Especially in multi wave combat. That burst field is huge, fine with energy, and lasts a decent amount of time. He also frees up Nahida if I need her on the other floor.

  5. So I wasn’t gonna mention it but I think it is important to point out with tighnari and Deyha they have a chance to come back with their weapons in the future. Thanks to that new banner they introduced. Granted I don’t think the banners are worth it outside of pulling for the weapons but i figured I should at least point that out.

  6. IMO dendro traveller still holds up. Sure, there is no situation where I would use over Nahida. However, if you need a second dendro off field/buffer traveller is usually the best option. Whenever I run 2 dendro teams in abyss, I always end-up using the traveller.

  7. I’ve heard from somewhere, don’t remember where, that Kaveh works as a frontline unit for Nilou, because of his passive where he heals himself when he’s hit by bloom explosions.
Don’t know if that’s true or not, since I can’t test Nilou and Kaveh, on account of having neither.

  8. I still use DenMC, but I don't have Nahida. Or Alhaitham (who wouldn't work for my Cyno as an on-fielder anyway)
I run agg Cyno, Raiden, DenMC & Baizhu. Maybe I could replace DenMC w/ Kirara…?

  9. tignari weapon is in the chronicle wish. how layla get energy from her shield breaking, she gains energy when her stars are all form then attack no? her shield is stronger than diona. for some reason ur discord invite is invalid

  10. I don’t have c6 Dori but I’ve always found her useful with Tighnari and Miko especially. For me Dori always felt like the flip side of Kuki. Kuki is given high EM for hyperbloom but her healing suffers for it.

I give Dori sac greatsword and Deepwood and suddenly I have 100% uptime battery that heals and shreds dendro res. I know she’s not Cyno’s first pick but she resolves his energy and hp flaw pretty well too.

  11. I found a tiny and hyperspecific niche for Candace as a support for Beidou. At c4, whenever Beidou is hit, she gets extra Electro DMG on her NA's, but without an infusion. That means she can take Candace's infusion and constantly proc Electro-charged on enemies with buffed damage. If you have a Main DPS Beidou like me, that actually makes many encounters quite easy to take care of, and Candace at least doesn't require much of a battery to quickly charge her Burst again. Combine this with Yunjin and any support of your choice, and Beidou can just rip and tear through anything. It's still not great, but it's a fun budget team.

  12. personally i'd put Yaoyao and Baizhu down a tier
yeah they're good healers, but Yaoyaos off-field healing is not very good, Baizhus buff is almost never applied to the character that would want it given how you actually play the game and so is almost never actually doing anything, he's still a good healer, but that's practically all he does

  13. Your "Baizhu is too underrated" statement is very true. I kinda remember this happened too when Kazuha was first released in 1.6, only to be considered as one of the best character in the game soon after 😂

  14. ngl candace was pretty good in terms of bloom teams for nilou bloom and hyperbloom especially in hyperbloom where you can fully utilize the em buff of nahida on your electro character to squeeze out more dmg but she most likely need c6 for that 5:45 ,would most likely disagree on candace

  15. Solid list, i'd give it an 8.5/10. As you can see, dendro really carries version 3 characters. If i were to make my own, it would be like-
    1- Nahida, Alhaitham
    2- Baizhu, Nilou
    3- Wanderer, Tighnari, Faruzan
    4- Yaoyao, Cyno, Collei
5- Kirara, Mika, Dehya, Layla, DMC, Kaveh
    6- Candace, Dori

  16. Honestly I hate what Nahida did to dendro, it's Xiangling problem all over again. I wish there was an alternative AoE off-field dendro applicator character (not circle impact), but the only one other than her is Baizhu, and he's single-target and doesn't do any damage (but he brings so much to the table it's understandable). It doesn't have to be as strong as her, I just want an alternative but it feels like there wouldn't be any and I hate it :/

  17. ok so hear me out, I think kaveh is more niche than bad. yes I am aware and I agree that a 4 star dendro on fielder sounds really bad. but I think of him as a driver, not dps. specifically in the nilou bloom team. I didnt do the math so if someone can correct me if Im wrong, I appreciate it. but I think a nilou team with nilou (hp), baizou (hp), xinquo (full em) and kaveh (full em) can outdps nahidas ult in that comp (that is if she isnt c2). even if it cant, if you are running nahida on your other team, kaveh should be a great alternative in the very least (that is if his burst buffs nilous bloom cores, which I think it does). like for example my main dendro team is nahida, yae, zhongli and alhaitham. if any abyss requires dendro a lot and I want to run a nilou team on the other floor, Im probably going kaveh-baizu there since in that case there would be three characters in the team that specifically buff the cores damage. but ıdk, can you please comment on this?

  18. Dori is definitely a unit built with coop in mind. Her burst will connect all 4 characters, if her cons are unlock, has a very high electro application and gives energy. That's why she's my go to everytime I do coop.

  19. Imo, I think Candace should be in niche because she is a very strong hydro option for Nilou teams when at C6. Prior to C6, she really isn’t good, but she still does have a niche if/when you get constellations for her.

  20. Both Nahida and Alhaitham carried me through abyss Couldn't have done it without them. But I just noticed that Alhaitham's weapon wasn't that good, so I would advice others to not pull for his weapon😅 Ayaka's weapon is better…
Alhaitham can be replaced but not Nahida she's a must pull❤

  21. Candace does provide a decent elemental normal attack enhancement with her burst: the buff applies to all infusion types, so it can be good for Yoimiya teams or even the upcoming "Father". She's is pretty bad otherwise though.

  22. Guys I know that Tighnari/Dehya's sig weapons were in the Chronicled Banner. But that banner is over now, and conventionally standard banner five stars never get reruns (subsequently their sig weapons are unobtainable). We'll have to see if the Chronicled Wish is a regular thing and not a one off. You may now stop with the "smh you forgot chronicled wish banner" lol

  23. List is pretty spot on. I would argue that Cyno should be moved up to pretty good. The damage he deals in his best team, with Furina + Baizhu + Nahida/Fischl is an extraordinarily powerful comp. And boasts one of the highest DPS in the game. People like to give him a bad rep because he was overshadowed by Alhaithm on his release. They still sleep on him because they haven't realized how powerful he's become with some of the newer characters. But these days he is just as conpetitive as any other hypercarry comp, such as Alhaithem and Raiden National. Maybe not Neuvilette though. He's truly a beast.

I would also argue Kaveh should be moved up to the Niche category. I personally use him as my on field dendro driver in Nilou Bloom teams. He works well, covers a lot of area, and pushes out more damage than any other driver in that role due to his Bloom damage bonus afforded to him by his Ultimate. Additionally he innately gains extra EM upon ascension, as well as his A4 passive when he uses skill (up to 100 extra I believe). I use him with C2 Nahida, Xinqiu, and Nilou, and I can get upwards of 90-100k blooms. But I agree is is virtually unusable anywhere else. Hence, why I say Nische.

    Good video as always.

  24. The only thing I was just flabbergasted was your take on Layla being a cryo bot for cryo app when she more excels at shielding.

If you dont have Zhongli, play Layla.
