I honestly love how Bran is not immediately hating on it and is trying to look at it more objectively – I personally agree with most of the things he said here.
If you don’t want to pull on this banner, you don’t have to, it’s your choice if you want these characters or you’d rather prefer someone else, it’s completely up to you.
But as someone, who is very happy about this (because finally has a chance to pull for Albedo and Klee), I see it as an amazing opportunity for Hoyo to rerun more characters more often. Even if it’s in those not ideal conditions, because they’re probably going to put older and less popular characters there anyways. And it seems that it will be more of a banner for people that just really wants these characters/weapons, so that they would satisfy them aswell.
Yes, Hoyo should add more content for everyone equally, but that doesn’t necessary mean this is automatically terrible. Hopefully they’ll soon add something for veterans too tho, at least the resin increase :,))

I think the two biggest issues around the Chronicled Wish so far are the lack of information about how long each Chronicled Wish period lasts, and exactly what/who they're putting on the Chronicled Wish. I strongly dislike that weapons like Hunter's Path and Beacon of the Reed Sea are being put in the Chronicled Wish and you have to use Intertwined Fates for it, where the characters those weapons are best in-slot for are on the Standard Banner and can be pulled using Acquainted Fates. I wish instead, it was previous event weapons that are no longer obtainable (like Cinnabar Spindle for Albedo). I think in cases like that, using the Intertwined Fates would make sense since they were limited-time weapons no longer obtainable in-game. And in my opinion, if the Chronicled Wish events last for anything shorter than a full patch, it wouldn't super be worth it, but obviously we'll have to wait and see until Hoyo puts out more info
They should give special currency for it FROM THE EVENTS.

Below is a bit long – but it has to be, in order to explain my personal stance.
That would make the events more interesting for some.
They gave those coupons in the prison and they are mostly useless.
And I get that Pantalone is the reason for the prison coupons.
But Hoyo could give us more events, as well as a special currency to work with this special banner.
As for my personal annoyance levels…. I realize Bran was never too bad about Hoyoverse, though he's never been a backside kisser either.
But I've personally been even less angry towards Hoyo than Bran has been (in public – no idea if he has different stances offline) about most issues….
And this 4.5 patch is extremely disappointing to me.
I can see how it can be good for other players.
I don't personally care about end game, because the game was never advertised (I never saw any ads indicating people should go into it as a heavy combat foccused game).
Personally I don't even like combat most of the time.
Going to take Star Rail as an example here.
I often use my camo pant to hunt for chests to avoid combat.
I ocassionally use the sim uni but hardly at all (unless they do the double rewards thing or I really feel like beating something up in Star Rail) and I don't do the pure fiction much (only 2 times, so far) and the forgotten hall is aptly named in my opinion. Though I also still use it on ocassion.
And I say that knowing full well that Star Rail WAS advertised as a combat heavy game. I have been playing it since day 1, hour 1.
But I never saw ANYTHING for Genshin that advertised it as combat heavy.
Exploration and story were the main things I ever saw advertised early on.
I have been playing since the later part of Dec 2020 and aside from being bored ocassionally (so I go into other games, not a massive deal), I have been happy with it.
I'm not a Whale, and also not F2P – I am at most a dolphin that has ocassionally spent more (more than the welkin or battle pass) on some wishes during lapses in judgment caused by depression after my mom passed in 2022…
The point in saying the above is to say:
I am generally happy with Genshin as it is, but I understand how some can be upset (somewhat).
Anyway, I love my Aquila Favonia and in all this time have only gotten 1 copy of it, so I am happy for this new banner.
But I was saving THOSE primos for Neuvilette, Venti, Arlecchino and the Pyro Archon….
So it annoys me that they didn't implement a new currency for that banner, that we can earn VIA the damn mini games!
I think its gonna last 60-100 days. Which will be good😭
i like this because i only have dilooch from the characters on there and wouldnt mind getting any of the others especially jean. annoys me that i cant enjoy an addition without someone shoving it down my throat that its "bad" or "F hoyo" this that the other
I feel like this banner is only useful for people who missed or really want a specific character to complete there collection. Other then that, there is no reason to use it.
Lantern Ritr cost them too much money. They have to raise more sales by making you spend money on more monstadt 5 stars
I do hope they run the banner longer. I remember when Ayaka banner was extended, I was able to get her within that time.

this is a scam, and hear me out, example: I want hunters path R5, okay cool, now if I am forced to hard pity (which I normally am) and lose every 50/50 (which I normally do) it will take a total of 900 fate, 900! which translates to 144,000 premogems! as a f2p player this is not possible.
Honestly it's okay for new players but that's it… For players who have been playing for years, like me, it will be skipped. As a F2P, primogems are so scarce and few.. They need to give us a way to grind for primos daily, even if it's like a 30 to 50 extra primogems on a daily limit.
Like on Dragonball Legends where you can actually grind friendship rank to get crystals to do summons. It's slow and tedious but it actually something we can do at anytime.
I like this banner. For 5* income it has the same potential as a regular character banner, you just need to be a little wise, and there is a chance to lose to non standard characters. Not interested in this banner in particular but looking forward to future versions of it.

Why doesn't anyone notice that the characters on this banner just aren't really worth 160 pulls, unless you don't care about character viability at all. The "regional" banner was a term coined by leaks. There is absolutely no confirmation that the next one would be Liyue. For me this just seem like a banner for unpopular/outdated characters that would otherwise clutter the normal banners. And even if you want a character from this banner is just (arguably) slightly worse version on normal limited banner.
For me the main problem with this banner is that this is just "the least they could do" and this existing means we won't get anything better for a while.
I follow a Diluc fan on twitter that still doesn’t have him to this day. She has everything ready for him: weapon, artifacts, talent materials to triple crown and even his skin, but he never comes home to her.
Sure, it would’ve been better if hoyo stopped being fucking stingy and gave us a standard 5* selector like they did for HSR, but at this point, I’m just hoping that the banner is long enough for her to guarantee one copy of Diluc, because the biggest scam of this banner imo is the fate point not carrying over
Honestly, I'm not mad, it's like combining Character Banners and an improved version of the Weapon Banner in one single Banner, what I don't like is that it probably be maybe in this version, maybe won't in this one, that's the only part I could argue with…

i think theyre tryna make more money off of old banners so bran i agree w/ u i think they literally could've make a new fate (chronicled fate sounds cool) and it just used less primos to get the fate or smt. Or maybe even a 10 pull and or one pull discount like noelle even if not permanent.

I dunno I think it’s going to be scammy. To be fair… the weapon banner is a scam. 100%. I use 4 stars and do just fine. I’ve played since the beginning. Honestly the game is pretty crap right now. Given how good HSR is… Genshin is pretty shit. I get it tho, you have to be sunshine and rainbows for your check. I’m so not agreeing with you in this point at all.
Well, for weapons it makes them way cheaper to guarantee on this kind of banner so that's a huge win. It was also the only real way to give standards their rate ups proper.
Plus, needing one fate point isn't bad at all. The problem is most people don't realize you're SUPPOSED to go into these banners with your guarantee ready.
Like, people who think this banner is a scam probably think the weapon banner is generous just because "lower" pity.
I feel this banner is for people who have been WAITING for a certain character for a long time and have actually saved, not for people wishing for characters they see and think are cool. Haven’t watched vid yet tho so idk?
