  1. Guys, they're a business…what did you expect? The constellations weren't selling, so they found a way to make them more attractive.

Don't worry about getting max damage when the character first comes out. If you like a character, wait for the rerun to get constellations. This way you enjoy them while they're not overpowered, and you'll be more happy playing them on field longer.

In my experience, it's much better than maxing characters right away. The game becomes too easy which makes it boring or makes you bench the character quickly.

  2. Characters with flaws aren't "balanced", they are simply "flawed". Balancing should be done through numbers, amount of functionality, and environment. Bennett/Xq are imbalanced not because they don't have flaws, but because other characters/enemies weren't upscaled to their powerlevel. It is much more fun to play a character with 1 usefull function instead of playing character with 3 useless functions and a big flaw. Playing around the flaws is simply annoying in most cases, which is a big problem with Genshin characters and renders plenty of them not worth building. And, as mentioned in the video, those flaws are artificially added to characters specifically to sell constellations/signature weapons, which is one of the many disgusting monetization tactics Genshin uses.

  3. I love wrio to pieces and I actually saved a decent amount of primo just for one copy and his weapon (I'm f2p) so I was pretty bummed when I figured out his C1 was a massive improvement. I was actually lucky enough to get 2 of him in one 10 pull so I never experienced c0 wrio but it still sucks for those who wanted him who only have enough funds to get 1 copy

  4. This is not new, its been happening since hu tao and hu tao c1, say what you will but hu tao c1 is much much more fluid than c0 and the combo has better damage, yes xianyun furina hu tao team is kinda fixing this issue now but even if you wanna play zhongli double hydro vape hu tao you still need c1 or will face the stamina issues

so yeah now they're just continuing the trend like how xianyun for exploration is amazing but c1 makes her more more amazing for exploration you get what I mean?

if they make every unit good on c1 or c2 and max power on c6 its absolutly fine sometimes it was like this before and if they do it know even more i am hyped

  6. The only cons I ever went for purposely was c2 yelan. I had gotten yelan on release because I absolutely despised using xingqui for clearing abyss, I just wanted another option. I loved the mobility on yelan’s E and I did not have a charge shot gimmick character so I liked that I could charge attack, e skill, then potentially do another charge attack. I liked her so much I had to get her weapon which made her damage insane (I was doing like 50k e’s no reaction and 35k+ charged shots) but I played her w/ low ER and as the main dps in the team. To play her as the sub dps, she really needed more ER and/or switching weapon to sac or fav which significantly lowered her dps. When she came on rerun during fontaine, I already had a cracked account and I really wanted at least her c1 for mobility and I had 200 pulls saved plus I potentially wanted Lynette c6 because I always had wanted to try kazuha c6 with the anemo infusion so basically Lynette was the f2p variant of that. I got her c1 and lost the 50/50 on her c2 but I definitely love the double skill aspect which allowed me to play off field without sacrificing damage for more ER and the double skill really helped w/ mobility around the open world.

For other characters, I see what you’re saying about how there’s a problem with character’s kits and the c1 fixes them which reminds me more of 4* that need high cons or c6 to feel functional in a team but for me I’m not really attracted to characters that have these problems after I saw how well my c6 kujo sara aged, I barely use her post dendro. My account can easily beat abyss so I usually just go for c0 and maybe weapon if I really like them.

  7. playing wrio with furina and jean is honestly the worst u can do as wrio can used as well with so much diffent charackters and you can use furina jean as an enabler for different charackters that need this and wont work without it

  8. Raiden was the first experiment, and it succeeded so well that they figured: well, JUST making C6 great isn't enough, let's shift things down to C2, and more people will spend…and they were right. We did this to ourselves…they then figured, well, they are willing to spend for C2, but what about JUUUUST C1? So every once in awhile they make a Wrio like unit where you have an enormous boost. 'Lo and behold, it worked again. This is why C6 is more of a gimmick con or just CR and CD, because they know that you already spent so they ironically don't need to make C6 great, because the only people going for that are psychos that don't pull for an entire year, or whales, so why bother making it ridiculous when the whales are going to spend anyway? Make C1 and C2 fantastic, and that's where it matters.

  9. to the chiori topic isnt it nice that she is intendet to work perfectly on geo teams on c0 and can be used in other teams as good as soon you have c1 Oo? its a win for me that they design constellations as this now also its good that not every charackter can be used with every team xD as this whould be a ballance nightmare

  10. Honestly I don't bother pulling units that have clearly been butchered on purpose. It sucks that I'll never pull Wrio, but it is what it is. Wanderer is KIND of like this, but he doesn't NEED C6 Faruzan, it's just an ENORMOUS upgrade to him, and, with Faruzan, you can casually try for a few copies every once in a while, while pulling for other banners that run alongside wanderer, if you really didn't want to pull for him until you had Faruzan C6. It's still KIND of the same but not truly like what Wrio and Chiori have. It's strange because surely they have the data on this, where people pull for Furina because she's complete and strong at C0, same with Navia…like it's just bizarre. Apparently, there are so many dumb sheep that just pull without thinking to justify this practice enough. Then again, it IS a gacha so most don't really mind spending their money anyways.

  11. I feel those QoL cons are very "main only". For example, big PP damage cons (generally C2) are not needed at all for the character to work. C1 like Wrio and Neuv give lots of QoL and carelessness you might find fun (I do, I fell for Wrio C1 as the third limited I ever get a constellation for!)😊

  12. Yeah I totally agree with what you said. I have to admit that I've been tented to pull for Neuvillete C1 and also though of saving a lot to get Wrio and his C1 in future reruns, what stops me is to think that I already have very strong teams to clear the only difficult content of the game, the abyss.
Even though I have him at C0, my Neuvillete is one of my best geared characters including his signature, so I just pair him with Furina and I'm able to delete everything with not effort. So, why bother?

Instead of spending a lot of primogems just for a extra bonus I rater spend it on a new character which is going to add more variety and fun to my game, like Xianyun for example, she enables a lot of combinations which makes me feel relieved of going for her instead of wasting pulls on a constellation.

Unless Hoyoverse adds a endgame mode that requires extremely well build characters with constellations (which I highly doubt is going to happen judging how they are been working so far), there's no need to going for constellations specially for F2P players like me.

  13. Here's another Character that's one of the most egregious cases: Dehya.
Dehya's C2 increases her skill's uptime by 6 seconds, which means it has only 2 seconds downtime. It also increases the damage from the coordinated attack of the field by 50% when the active character in the field is attacked.

THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN HER BASE KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. i think the logic is different. they moved powerful passives up from the c4 range because they noted more people will pull for a few constellations than will whale full out. i think they also make them useful so more people will grab them right away, but there's also the future prospects of pulling on reruns to keep the characters relevant. C0 Furina is great, no reason to pull beyond, but C2 Furina is amazing and well worth it in the long run, had you not enough resource to get it the first time around. I like this change, as when I started genshin I'd never even consider constellations, but now I do on reruns allowing me the ability to improve my existing roster vertically rather than focusing on pulling all new units as often.

  15. It is of course something we can't do about, it is part of MiHoYo marketing strategy now, and they want to make money, so this is OK. If they want to show how grateful they are for the players, they can name such auxiliary constellations "fixing constellations" (maybe even not a constellation, something separate from that) and allow them to be unlocked with specific currency obtainable in-game.

  16. To be fair, I like constellations to feel more worth it than the tiny bonuses they were at the start (think venti) because sometimes you want to invest in a character you like (or you reach a point like me where you have enough characters and you’re burnt out on building them). So while I feel they are pushing it and getting a bit cheeky now with characters like Wrio, I do think overall they’ve actually improved with constellations compared to pre-inazuma and then every now and then you get the odd underwhelming or greedy ones.

Neuvillete’s so broken at c0 that even broken constellations kinda fit him. He provides immense power in exchange for being a bit restrictive. Interruption resistance and lightening (but not removing) his restrictiveness seems like a great C1 for him – comfort and more flexible options to reach same potential or allowing more synergistic supports without losing as much of his passive. Some teams may not even need his C1 so its mileage varies. It’s mainly for furina.

Wriothesley on the other hand is fully swapping out his key mechanics for better versions. Better and more reliable self-healing, better damage and a better skill all for c1.

  17. totally agree, rather than just add more power each constellation or add team buffs, they are creating an unnecessary handicap at C0 just to fix it with cons – feels slimy to undo something rather than add something unique. I like it better when cons add the equivalent of an artifact or weapon buff so you can use a 4* weapon but make it feel like a 5*

I also feel the same way, I liked how fontaine characters (and artifacts) made healers (and shielders) more relevant again….only to then make them irrelevant with cons. I mean it is nice with Neuvi and Furina to make them so broken at early cons instead of C6, but I still don't like the "undo" type of improvement strategy
