Just a thing to remember! At the end of every archon quest, you are given an opportunity to ask questions, with prompts saying “About ‘insert topic’…” like with Venti at the end of the Mondstadt archon quest. These dialogues include important lore, so I always recommend going through each one instead of skipping it like many people including I did when I started playing.

The weapon called thrilling tales is good for healer support catalyst characters such as barbara! A refinement rank 5 thrilling tales is very good and can buff the other members of your party when you switch over to them from the character using thrilling tales
for the ‘in the mountains’ quest, you just gave to explore in the areas Entombed City Outskirts and Starglow Cavern on the map. You will eventually find these huge chunks of blue ice, which you need to help by melting them after collecting the scarlet quartz
It’s such a waste, the time on dragon spine could have been done for liyue archon quest so you can participate in the lantern rite. Also people keep saying there’s spoilers but I don’t think they’ll blatantly tell everything to new players, I’m pretty sure they’ll just introduce characters you haven’t meet yet, not tell you their whole backstory. Lantern rite is only once a year, and there will be rewards like 10 wishes and a 4 star character
Hi, Calvin. I understand the hesitation on using bow characters. One thing you can do is hold Wander’s skill so that you can target where you put his rocks to deal damage. This way, you don’t have to use a bow character while still having Wander in the team.
PS: this only applies to Geo-aligned Wander.
If there is a red exclamation mark, it means there's still something you haven't read/claimed/done in that tab yet. Make sure you always get that red exclamation mark out.
When using bennett's burst, you should immediately use any elemental skill or burst of other characters to buff their attack dmg since that's what bennet's burst works instead of waiting around and wasting your potential.

Fun tip: razor's hold e has verticle aoe, so you can use it to attack the enemy that placed twice as high as him!
razor's hold e is also a "very heavy" attack (to give you a comparison, claymore normal attack are "heavy" type) so it's really convenient when facing a chunk of ores, or enemies with geo shield.
You can get hydro/Fontaine and dendro/sumeru(best traveler version!)powers for your traveler. Look around the dark spots of the map for lit up teleport waypoints and just navigate to a Statue of the seven in that region. They unlocked these so new players would have a way to get to those regions to upgrade their characters… For inazuma, you're out of luck. You just have to go through the main story quest.
By the way, "Genshin" means "allogene" in English 🙂

Dragonspine came out after Liyue. So it's something that's intended to be done after you've done all of Liyue.
About weapons: I think it'd be cool if you read their description/story, I think you'd find it interesting to "know" your weapon 😀
About Bennett vs Amber: Bennett is a late-bloomer. He gets very good later but at the point where you are now Amber is probably more useful.
Wanders elemental skill (geo rocks) hold it and aim it at the side of the tower and the geo rocks will stick there, then you can climb the geo rock. The geo rocks are great at climbing since you can use it as an elevated platform and it will stick to walls and objects
Actually all characters in this game will be in the story later on. They also have hangout quests for characters so you can get to know them better as well as story quests. All characters in this game are part of your whole story
By the way Calvin here's something that will definitely make your battles easier, since you have wander always in the team, start your battles by placing one or two of his geo rocks in the battle field and his burst to you get to trigger the geo pulse and create crystalize reactions giving you shields. after that, immediately switch to either Razor or Bennett to apply electro or pyro to your enemies using their elemental skill, then switch to sayu to swirl the element that has been previously applied and spread them to nearby enemies, then you can switch to any of the other characters to constantly create reactions dealing more damage to your enemies. General rule in this game is apply element to your enemies with elemental skill, then immediately switch to another character to create an elemental reaction with the previous element applied. Normal attacks are just fillers in between your elemental skill. When your burst is ready, use them. quick swapping of characters is the key and Im sure you will enjoy the battles better coz of the resulting reactions and the increased damage and how easy you can dispose of your enemies. Also Bennetts burst circle it a damage buff circle so stay in it as much as possible and it also will heal your character only when you are in the red circle, Also take note that Sayus Burst is a healing area (green circle on the ground) your characters will heal in the circle, so swapping between characters allows you to heal them all one by one aside from the initial general heal when she drops her burst. Dont rely too much on the claymore spin attack, as the damage is small compared to creating elemental damage. use your spin attacks and normal attacks in between using characters elemental skill, and do not stay in one character for too long as your damage per second diminishes
1:01:17 Calvin holding down razors elemental skill creates an AOE electro blast which is one of the best ways to mine crystals like these in one hit.
1:08:50 Calvin collect every Crystal youll need a lot of them later on to forge upgrade materials for your weapons and even forge weapons as well in the Blacksmith.
1:22:00 You can definitely do this one, if you hold bennetts skill to apply pyro then switch to razor and hold his elemental skill, youll do more damage, then swirl with Sayu, the thing is, you stay too long on one character, you should switch characters often. Also you got Wanders geo rocks and burst to make crystalize shields, so you minimize damage. And dont forget Sayus elemental burst also swirls elements and damages enemies while healing you
So how the weapon banner works is: You are guaranteed to get a 5-star weapon after 80 pulls in this specific banner (there is a small chance to get it before, which gets drastically jacked up at around 60-70 pulls. You would have to be ASTRONOMICALLY unlucky to get it precisely at 80 pulls). When you do get a 5-star, it's a 75% chance for it to be either of the ones featured in the banner. If you get the 25% chance instead, your next 5-star in this banner is guaranteed to be one of the featured ones. Epitomized Path gives you a Fate Point each time you pull a 5-star weapon that ISN'T the one you chose. Once you have 2 Fate Points, the next 5-star you get is guaranteed to be the one you chose.
The weapon banner is NOT worth pulling on at all unless you are extremely hellbent on getting as optimal of a build as possible.

Calvin you should level up Bennett, Razor and Wander to Level 40 since you have ascended them, you will take more damage from enemies coz your characters are under levelled as well as your enemies are harder to kill. Your damage and your stats increase when you level up your characters. And I would advise switching to barbara as your healer at some point coz barbara can be ascended since her ascension materials can be found in monstadt and just wait till you get to inazuma to be able to ascend Sayu
At 1:50:15, if you press F on that glowing sculpture next to the tree stump it acts like a fire and warms you up….took me way too long to figure that out myself 🙁
I’m on the side of you doing the Liyue event. Otherwise You’ll miss out on so many primo gems and a free 4* character of your choice. I don’t think you’ll get that many spoilers just meet certain characters ahead of time but you’ll won’t remember them anyway

IMPORTANT:
If you don't want to use a bow character you can hold geo traveler's skill…. that helps him position his barrel kinda thing accordingly….
P.S: the distance is not as variable as a bow character though… but would definitely work on that hilichrul.

i think for now event storylines might be a little spoilery, so i'd hold off on doing the upcoming festival event if you want to experience the story in the right order and not be too confused! but if that's not too important for you and you want to do the event regardless, it will be a good way to collect primogems to wish for other characters <3
The story quests are permanent, so don’t worry, you’ll always be able to do those later. And they are very good and worth doing. But if you get the option to do character trials or limited events, try not to miss those as they will disappear after a certain time.
The weapon banner with the epitomized path can steal your wishes and there’s no guarantee you’ll get the weapon you want until like the third five star weapon. It always looks like something you want to try, but it is highly recommended that you focus on characters for now. I would just hate seeing you lose wishes to the weapon banner. Characters are so much more fun.
