WHY ARE GENSHIN IMPACT PLAYERS REALIZING THIS NOW?

Apparently Genshin has lost collectively 1 million followers on their social media account in CN due to a boycott happening!

  1. Y’know what? Genshin is being generous. It can’t get anymore generous. After all, Genshin is practically donating its own player base away. Dry puns intended. 🤣🤣🤣

  2. The thing that people don’t understand is that Genshin doesn’t have a gacha player base, my sisters would play Genshin… they for sure wouldn’t play other gacha games tho it’s not as simple as just stop playing because that’s not realistic, that would require you to have something to replace the game with and most people don’t, played COD every year they make a new game and everyone buys it because no real Competition, I stopped playing nothing changed… Destiny is trash compared to what it should be, I stopped playing nothing changed… pick any game you want but once a game does 12 things it’s over,

    1: be aesthetically pleasing,
2: get players with lots of marketing,
    3: easy to use UI,
4: cater to a specific audience with a specific aspect of the game, that can’t be easily replicated,
5: build the game around said aspect,
    6: good and smooth gameplay,
7: have the potential of a high skill ceiling for gameplay… just the potential of it,
8: be simple enough that someone’s stupid friends can pick up the game,
    9: be family friendly,
10: always have stuff for the players to come back to,
    11: passable story,
12: take nothing but W after W for years until someone makes literally your game but 2% better,

Genshin built around the characters and HSRs characters are not the type of characters that Genshin players like… if HSR changed the character designs to be more Genshin like people would play 100% that’s why HSR is not even half as popular as it could be and that’s scary to think about because it’s basically the only other game as big as Genshin is

  3. My first game that probably is a gacha is lineranger but my first introduction is probably evertale so anything other then that can only go up so then i play hi3 so i have same expectations when coming to genshin so when first aniv hit i didn't see any problem. Since char is not really a problem u dont even need any of the char just to finish the game
Now the recent i can kinda see it's less about whether is it fair or not and more for appreciation sake

but idc that much tbh thought im glad they're complaining since that mean there be more goodies

  4. I’ve realized this within the first few months of the game. Though i like the gameplay, characters and world desgin, the game is incredibly stingy, possibly the stingiest ever. That’s basiclally why i dropped it a long time ago and never looked back. I took a peak at first anniv to see if something could pull me back, but i said nahhh 😂

A: me as a global player i've been actively complaining on mihoyo CS for 2yrs. i always ask for more content. for complaining like a bitch for 2yrs i gave up, coz i'm not a chinese player. mihoyo only responds on chinese players, 1st one is on zhongli rework(on his first banner his kits sucks like night n day compare to now), 2nd one is when review bombing from game reviews to sponsorships. they probably give in but after that we're back again, as i am saying is, if you guys want to complain, complain on chinese discords/reddits like bilibili, ask them for help.

  6. why because its obvious that Genshin reward wise is the worst game out of all 3 of Hoyos gatcha games in terms of rewarding older players Honkai Star Rail with there free 10 pull every patch and the Free 5* limited L + Ration are wining (btw last year Genshin won the exact same reward best Gatcha game in the world rewards and they gave us what 800 jems or was a 10 pull i dont remember anymore 😀 😀 :D) Honkai Impact 3rd gave us a free Herrscher of Sentience + a free 10 pull for Christmas/ new years (last year the gave us an Free Herrscher of Origen and a free physical art book vol 2 to all there dedicated players) only Genshin keeps on giving dog scraps to there players on the big once a year events 😀 and it finally boiled over finally Genshin players do deserve a free 5* liyue char selector for CN new years for 3 years playing there game they can still sell there skins for that selected char anyway so they lose nothing they will get more money if they do it

  7. Wow, that's pretty damn petty that they even mentioned a character's birthday rewards. Newer players can still use that stuff and I still cook dishes for the 20 dishes bp task.

But yeah I more or less agree with the other stuff talked about in this vid. I'm not saying they need to give more, but they better make damn sure they're aware that, even if the global audience doesn't matter as much to miHoYo, we are players of their game too. I mean, I personally would have been fine with these "rewards" (HSR not necessarily a part of this) but damn the way they worded that was just asking for it. Deserved.

  8. It's financially dubious to market a F2P game towards a large group of people notorious for not having any money and plenty of time: children.

That last part about being family friendly I think is exactly what Hoyo underestimated and why they are clearly sabotaging the game. Long story short the money that Genshin makes PER PLAYER monthly is arguably not great. Nikke makes $12-$17 per player, PGR makes $5+, Genshin makes $0.50-$0.80. Genshin takes far more work for everything than possibly any other gacha game and certainly a ton more than the rest of the top 5. (Imagine the customer service tickets from possibly 40 million grade schoolers not understanding why they didn't get the character they wanted lol).

Everyone knows that Hoyo knows how to do better, but I do not see anyone really examining why a company might do this. Analysis of the earnings seems to offer an obvious answer. "Why are we running a day care when we can just market booba pics to the only people paying anyway???" It would also explain the clear maturity shift in HSR and even further in ZZZ. I think they're trying to shake off the kids (and the work it requires to keep them entertained), and just minimize the damage to the company name. They'll appease the CN players only far enough to save face, but I can't see them investing in changing Genshin to increase interest again.

  9. I've already left detailed answer on this topic in another channels so i'll try to be brief with my reply here even tho i know guitar rock enjoys reading essays weirdchamp.
Basically the asnwer is that majority of genshin playerbase is not actually versed gacha gamers, their one and only gacha is genshin and the experience they get in genshin is what they think is the norm so they accept it and eat it up. Groomed players basically. Why people realize this now? It's because Honkai Star Rail released and is from the same company but different team and these groomed genshit players who are mihoyo shills at this point ofcourse tried out Star Rail and saw the difference in treatment they get in star rail to genshin. Content creators and news outlets finally start speaking up and opening the eyes to the players telling them that they've actually been abused for years in genshin. And here we are now. Good morning genshit players, 3 free pulls for 3 years anniversary is the biggest joke in gacha history just like any other anniversary genshin had to be honest, it's nice to see that yall finally realize it though.

  10. Genshin fanbase is not stupid but they are obviously emotionally manipulated. The good experience in the start of the game would eventually phase out but somehow a good number of people choose to stay with barely any updated endgame content. We all know we're being treating badly and not being listened to but we could do nothing about it. Because all we could do is voice our opinion into the void and we get used to 'the sucking up to Genshin' culture. It's not even worth speaking up if you're on the global server and not CN server. HYV giving out 3 fates like the past years was the last on people's mind until the CN decided that wasn't enough. It's actually sad to think of how little we have been expecting from Genshin, despite the hours we have spent on it.

  11. if you do the math, even with the free 10 pull star rail give, the number of free pull in both game is exactly the same. genshin simply stuff it primogem in openworld content. which requires greater player investment. the issue with genshin is not that it has less reward, but that it feel less rewarding to play because you have to commit more time to get the same reward.

  12. Its not about the rewards.. The GAME needs to CHANGE.

I dont want the community to be silenced by 20 wishes or whatever. The game itself NEEDS TO CHANGE. Better QoL, Epitomized path for standard 5 stars, ACTUAL ENDGAME CONTENT.

Wuthering waves is around the corner, Genshins own anniversary is coming in a few months, eventually they should introduce triple banners, and lets not forget HSR'S ANNIVERSARY. There are so many things this year that could put a tomb on Genshin impact and its all thanks to their own management and genshin team. Genshin is its own killer.

  13. It is funny to me how gacha players mocking other gacha players for low free shit
While the same gacha players the reason why we have this gamble shit mechanics in the first place in video games?
For me all gacha players who spend money on banners and cry after are crap eatters and beggars
It is also funny to me when people say "we was supporting (company name) and thats all we got?"
Bruh support is when you give money and recieve nothing. You was making a purchase. Have you been at least one time in a random store?
Feel free to disapprove me with your "uahhh, i like when company piss on me with 0.00001% of chance to get PNG"
If you do not respect your money why (company name) should do it for you?
P.S. if you are ok with playing gacha games and not crying after that (company name) dont respect you, you are cool. You have self respect.

  14. Genshin is 0.6% for a SSR and a 0.3% for the rate up SSR. Genshin hides its truly miserable rates behind its 50/50 and pity system, but the truth is that at 0 pity you have a measly 0.3% chance to pull that new banner character. By comparison, pulling banner SSR on a single rate up SSR in FGO is 0.8%, and FGO is widely criticized for being so stingy compared to games like GBF that offer 3% SSR rates (that sometimes double up to 6% on special occasions). With three wishes you are not even getting the equivalent of a ONE PERCENT chance to pull the banner unit.

  15. Genshin players are like guys blowing their money at the strip club and crying because the strippers don't love them. Or not spending anything and wondering why the strippers arent paying attention to them.

  16. We need actual change, the fact that they haven't given us anything in 3 years is ludicrous. 2 Chars n a new area isn't content. I'd take end game over any rewards. Replayable events so people could get weapons like Festering desire. 20 pulls is not gonna do shit for us

  17. Well, I would say, all Hoyoverse game has realy loyal fanbase. Genshin just the largest one there, and they not the smartest, but the most egoistic of all.
They are stupid, the one who wrote that is right. They literally play a Honkai spinoff, yet they still think they play the main game of the company.

  18. 10:06 its not that EN community is staying silent. It's more like were going to be ignored again is what there thinking.
If you still remember the first anniversary rewards the EN community had to go far and wide just to be listened to.

I think that spark have already Lost due to 3 years of continuous disappointment.

We still play and continue to love the game, but not expecting much.

Really hope genshin gets a solid competition so hoyo gets a wake-up call.

  19. If you reverse psychology the marketing strategy of hoyo's doing you'll understand.

Im not defending hoyo's action on genshin or downplaying HSR im just analyzing the startegy hoyo is doing

HSR has a lot of competition with a large number of turn base game out in the market. if you left the game a couple of months ago and returning now or still remaining active on the game because of the perks. hoyo/they just succeeded in ther pont.

HSR has a lot of competition. Anyone can leave HSR anytime they want and play other turn base games to there liking that's why there giving every perks they can to keep you interested.

Genshin on the other hand still has a monopoly of the open world and fighting Mechanic's other games are still perfecting. So even if hoyo shits on the community players will still comeback for the experience.

The only real way for genshin to get better rewards is to have an equal competition that could shake hoyo's core.😅
