  2. wow. i didnt realise just how much work the team had to do to bring us this beautiful story. i'd say the effort was definitely worth it!!! i will continue to support the game and hopefully get to see how it ends!!!

  3. Natlan region will become more challenging for Genshin team than other 6 region, because the inspired culture nation is so limited and still mystery unless they visiting Native American ethnic and collaborating… If they success incorporate the culture on Natlan, this will be the first time a new culture on rpg..

  4. Disney wishes to be as experimental and creative with their animations as Hoyoverse but they don't even try. Genshin is just a GAME but they create art so much better. So proud of them! The art style for the musical part is gorgeous, it can be a full length film and everyone would love to watch it.

  5. I LOVE behind the scenes exploration like this as it makes you realize all the intricate steps that go into something that only lasts minutes on our end.

I started playing Genshin Impact less than a year ago and I know there are a lot of complaints about endgame and quality of life improvements, but I must say, you can FEEL the quality in Genshin unlike any other similar game. I've tried other open world fighting games and the characters feel stiff, the music is generic and the open worlds do not feel as full of life. So whilst I agree that Genshin needs better endgame to utilize the kits we laboriously grind for these characters, it is by far the most beautiful and detailed game of it's kind.

I do wish there were multiple skin options for each character (I get it takes a lot of work to make them movable without clipping…), but it would make older characters feel more fresh or fun to play, which I think would get ppl to pull on old character banners more (so a win win!).

  7. Using too much flashbacks will always feel like a lazy way of giving the character depth without actually exploring it while the events are happening.

With that said, this archon quest is not that bad, the story & twist is interesting. It was not enough for me to feel sad like Sumeru's archon quest. I'm more excited seeing Skirk.

Using the stage as a way to convey flashbacks is actually interesting & genius for a game mechanic. Though still felt out of place since we're a 3rd person watching her but controlling her at the same time.

  8. Fascinating, it was meant to be, what are the odds of a French musical production doing a tour in China just happened to collide with Hoyo trying to find a French singer XD. And if Cecilia didn't play the game by chance just months ago she would have probably passed on the random email offer from a rather less-known Chinese video game studio.

  9. This archon quest is definitely among the best stories Hoyo has EVER written. The characters have so much depth and the dynamic between all the elements in the story was beautiful. Even Focalors, who had very little screentime felt like such a well-written character.

  10. I stil don't understand how making entire story quest about not respecting Furina's boundries that she is trying to set after a life without agency is a quest that makes her 3-dimensional. "We hoped that adopting this approach of letting Furina do what she does best her character would feel more fleshed out and three-dimensional". Exept the whole point was that she hated acting bc she was forced to do it and she needed a break, she was traumatized and wanted just to live a normal life, so the story quest instead of being about what finally after 500 years what SHE wants, is meant to be about what she is best at? It's true she loved acting on the stage once, but that has changed and what's so wrong with respecting that? Maybe she doesn't need to perform if she doesn't want to or maybe she can discover her prospective love for acting in her own time and way insted of being forced by characters and plot to do so. It was honestly sad to watch bc thats not how healing works, you can't force it and you definetely can't just push someone to do something they have been traumatized with to make it "better". I love furina and I completely agree that her design and everything they have put into her is amazing. I just really dislike the fact that the story quest that was meant to be about her discovering her own agency in the world, is about us completely disrespecting that. She is actually one of the best written characters in this game, with how much care many aspects of her were materialized and shown and the voice actors did such an amazing job capturing her multi-dimensional character. I'm really impressed by what they have done with her and how they have done it. And because of that Im so taken aback by that story quest and the role we played in it.
EDIT. this is a comment to what they said about her story, as I said I love the production and it has been amazing to see how much they have actually put into this song and her character <3

  13. "To show the timelessness of human culture through the medium of our games". This is why everything they do is so good, they are not making simply a game, they are creation a work of art that use for inspiration as many cultures as it possibly can. All this effort and love that they pour into it can be felt on every moment you play it. Many other video game studios should take exemple from their love for their fans and their creativity on not only creating an amazing game, but also on using it to become a medium of culture and education

  14. Please give us an option in settings to change your videos to English spoken language like in Netflix. I read slow & I want to focus on whatโ€™s happening on screen instead of reading the caption. Thank you for your hard work!
