I like Furina's design, but it doesn't mean I like her character. She has the same level of ridiculousness as Raiden Shogun. One theory that came up is that after HoyoV saw many fans dislike Furina, they changed the plan for her story, as she does not befit the image of Archon of Justice.
It is utterly ridiculous how many people in the comment section (and in the Genshin fandom in general) are expressing their delusional beliefs of how Furina is not being suitable for the role of the Hydro Archon just because of their unrealistic point of view. Since their deranged and disgusting preferences of female characters are being either innocent and easily manhandled little girls to thick mommies that fans wet their beds to just to have the slightest opportunity of being dominated by them is colliding with the actual representation of a female character being something completely contrary on that or even a little bit different, fans are going nuts like a bunch of retarted apes. I think there's no more room for discussion in regards of this matter, I'm not willing to explain any possible future lore content nor Furina's actual in-depth character because they simply won't understand.
I was expecting this. Traveler's Elemental powers have always been a depowered version of the Archon's and Neuvillete is the one with the resemblance in play style to them.
Elemental dragons cannot ascend to divinity. Iets say furina gets strip of the title archon, i doubt neuvilette is the replacement. I think furina was the one talking in the 4.1 trailer with neuvilette letting him know she would step down and him being the protector of fontaine. Kinda like azdaha to zhongli
Furina is going to have an amazing arc. She is gonna be on the verge of losing it all but will find out she is OP as fuck and will rise to the top like the goddess she claims to be. If the writers have brains, they will give furina a downfall in which her fame declines and the people of fontaine start hating her, but she will redeem herself by saving fontaine from a catastrophic event, and fighting against the muthafuckas from snehznaya.
This could be a case of an archon giving the land back to the dragon not so much as making a new archon.
