This is downright deranged. But, I don't consider it Genshin's fault at all. Some people are just fucked in the head. Also, on the matter of too many male characters, I actually think a good divide between male and female characters is great in any gacha game so I am all for it. There's millions of waifu-only games out there already anyway and some are pretty damn fantastic and definitely better than Genshin anyway. LOL

Bruh imagine how delusional those people must be especially male players (not every male players) to hate a pixel male character from a videogame because Scara's got some zesty arrogant personality and gets more attention from female fans. This is downright horrible to go to the point to kill innocent animals that had nothing to do with anything. Those male players are still stuck in some sort of patriarchy mindset and seriously needs some reality check because getting jealous over a pixel character be it male or female is really mental.

I don't think this is even "Genshin Players", it's a problem across almost any fandom. People grow attached to fictional characters, especially if they themselves lack in a certain area of their social lives. They seem themselves in the characters and draw a connection that "This person understands me" or "This person is who I've been missing my whole life". In a time where humans can form relationships with nameless, faceless online friends, it's even easier to blur this line of reality. Humans are naturally social creatures, we personify stuffed animals, cute things, inanimate things etc – it's not too hard to see how the opposite feelings; hate, rage, sadness, can occur.
Genshin is so boring idk how you can let it affect you to this extent itβs literally just a story mode game lol

watched this on stream and it still horrifies me. there's just been too many instances of this kind of behaviour. Seriously considering limiting my game time and maybe even just not playing or associating myself with it at all because this is messed up. You can say that the game isn't to blame but the fact is – GI is starting to attract and foster a specific type of group that I don't want to be lumped in with, nor do I want people hunting me down on the off chance I offend their favourite jumble of pixels..
