  1. Ei didn't Free Scara, she put her in eternal slumber until the Samurai found him. That's worse than setting 'Free'.

Also if he was so weak to be Ruler atleast he could have been given the Rank of Kojou Sara. He was far stronger than Sara who got one shotted by Signore who in turn was defeated quite easily by the Traveler.

  2. I've been wondering recently about what they're planning on doing with Wanderer's character in the future. He's clearly popular so I feel like they'll do something more with him (like a story quest maybe?) but they obviously need to balance it with other characters and I'm not sure if there will be any time for him once Fountaine comes out. Here's my guesses though:
    1. The most obvious one is that he'd somehow end up in Inazuma again and meet Kazuha, Yae and Raiden. The only reason I can think of right now is that he goes back there on a research trip for Vahumana OR he'll eventually want to get closure and/or tell the residents about his past killings. It seems like a wasted opportunity if he doesn't.
    2. They made a point at the end of the inter darshan championship that Vahumana would research Sachin's line of thinking, and Wanderer recently joined. But I'm on the fence as to whether they'll expand on that or if it was just a one off thing.
    3. SURELY he'll have some sort of interaction with the Fatui again or at least the Doctor. I thought it might be poetic if he dies and takes the Doctor down with him after coming to terms with his past but he's playable so I'm pretty sure he won't be dying lol. It just feels like such a waste if he isn't involved with defeating the Fatui/Doctor somehow. There's also an opportunity for him to meet Childe which would be funny. But that could be far into the future, and I have a feeling we wouldn't see him for ages then they'd bring him back out of no where for dramatic effect if that did happen.
    4. Crackpot theories: Wanderer actually makes friends in Sumeru arc? Or meets other archons for some reason? Or joins Nahida on a trip somewhere and actually interacts with others? I can dream ok 😭
So I feel like they can still squeeze a decent amount out of his character and I'd be surprised if they didn't. I do expect him to be out of the story for extended periods of time going forwards though. I just hope they utilize him well and continue his character development when the time is right.

  3. I think that ei might have memories have scaramouche because she might be somewhat immune to changes in irminsul?? Like she remembers the fact that the sacred sakura was not originally in inazuma before 500 years which I think might allow some – unique story narrative with scaramouche??

  4. I think storytelling videos like this gonna do good for you since it's imo easier than making speculation videos. Also because GI players rarely read & prefer things to be showcased to them, visually

  5. The existence of pre-memory-returned Wanderer is a solid evidence of what if he being a good boy without Fatui interference. Iirc he doesn't think Raiden abandoned him? Like a whole new mindset.

Tldr the thing affected Scaramouche the most was Fatui, specifically Dottore & Pierro

  6. I still and will forever hate Ei’s writing. Because currently in canon it’s basically Makoto was the brain Ei was the brawn, after Makoto died Ei was simply not smart enough yet was super stubborn that’s why Inazuma got all fucked up. Oh until the Traveler arrived and enlightened her with the Power of Friendship™️ that is

  7. There's still chance for reconciliation & resolution of Raiden & Wanderer somehow, because the Irminsul erasure is simply memory erasure. So for example we got macguffin that make characters remember the actual timeline lore, they're gonna have their memory returns just like what happen with Wanderer

  8. i just wrote a whole essay being neutral towards both characters and sympathizing with both sides but after seeing the toxic scara mains in the comments, i just wanna say… take this L bozo. ei didnt need the puppet but the puppet made his whole personality a victim complex bc mommy didnt want him, so who rlly lost? i love scara down but dont come for ei < 3

  9. am I the only one who right after the irminsul situation when the quest took us to inazuma, immediately thought we'd talk to ei? It was my very first thought. It would have been interesting to see her altered perspective. Does she even remember creating a successful prototype of the shogun? So many possibilites wasted.

  10. the only thing i'm not getting about this video is how you're constantly justifying simply being neutral about ei's side yet calling wanderer a "good soul" who just "needed a mother" all the heinous acts he committed, abandonment is hardly on the same level of morality as literal murder

  11. No matter how anyone paints it. Ei did abandon scaramouche. A mother's job is to care for their children(in this case creations) to help guide them thought life and not to push them aside because they have a quality they do not like. From the start Ei was a bad mother. Creating life just to serve you is selfish.

  12. There is only one complaint I have regarding this video. Ei was never his mother to begin with. He is a puppet. And anorganic being, something synthetic that doesn't usually have life or a soul. Ei was the one that created him, but not in a usual way she just built him out of different materials. She neither adopted him because she took care of himself only for a short time until she "abandoned" him. She technically had all the rights to control him and even destroy him ar her will, but Ei's empathy couldn't bear to kill him just like that. That's probably a very subtle detail that makes me think Ei shouldn't be blamed for everything Scaramouche went through.

  13. As much as I ultimately like how Scara's story as a whole, it still kind of feels like what happened to Signora, but handled slightly better. They set up an interesting backstory that gets us excited for some great drama/consequences/payoff, only to wrap it up in a surprisingly abrupt way.

At least with Scara his resolution was a little more interesting than just dying in a narratively unsatisfying showdown, and there's still a chance that he and Ei can meet again someday, with both of them being better people than how they left each other.

  14. I feel like wanderer's story is not over yet. he is yet to destroy dottorre. imagine the doctor dying by his hand and the doctor says "who are you?" and wanderer just says… "just a wanderer." or "just a puppet."

  15. I still really wanna see a Story Arch quest either for Raiden or Wanderer ( or both ) that really addresses this and finally put both of them face to face to deal with all that happened and come to terms with it.. a full resolution. I really really need to see this!!

  16. I like you didn’t like the eraser and hope for a conversation between the two. I really want closure for him. Wonder if Nahida could give his memories to Ei so she could see all he endured and possibly even if just a little understand how he feels. The softy inside me would love for them to have a relationship even if not a perfect one. I think he’d always be angry at her to some degree but it would be nice if he warmed up to her a bit.

  17. Taking into account the Irminsul thing, it honestly makes me wonder if ALL of the Harbingers actually forgot or if only some of them did. There have been a surprising amount of people who actually remember certain things, and if the interaction with The Doctor and Nahida said anything, it's that we shouldn't underestimate their knowledge of the world already. They even have someone from Khaenri'ah in their ranks, who knows what they'll remember.

On the Ei and Wanderer relationship, I kinda wonder what would happen if he went back to Inazuma. Is he reluctant to? Will Nahida have taught him valuable lessons by then? Will he ever go back or just stay in Sumeru? Does Ei actually remember him? There's a lot of unanswered questions and it's possible we'll get more in the future. I'm with some of the people in the comments, though, as long as it's written well, I won't care what happens. I just want to see more character interaction period.

  18. I don't think that Ei doesn't remember him after he erased himself, voice lines are meant to be asked by Traveler and I think it is just that Traveler doesn't ask her about him, mainly because the name Kunikuzushi doesn't exist anymore be she still created him after the erasure, after all he exists but his life has taken a different path. That also means that they may meet again and the story may progress although my argument for that story to be concluded wouldn't be the Irminsul accident, if anything it would be that his voicelines as Wanderer mention the Raiden Shogun a lot and I think if they reunited, they would have to be changed

  19. YES i really really really love your take on their sides, and especially on Ei's. that is what ive been trying to tell people whenever i talk about kabukimono and ei. because i love them both equally. i dont choose a side, i understand both motives and especially ei's. i just think that no matter how much i can emphasize and understand, what she has still done was abandonment and i like that you pointed that out. i love both of them so much ;v; im so glad you posted an analysis/talk about these two. thank you so much aster

  20. Well, we do know that even though memories are gone, the feelings remain, and history does not simply change. Hopefully this makes the narrative stress both how irminsul wipes are cruel and steal closure from people, while giving us hope in wanderer and ei's relationship moving forward
