  7. These 2 dynamic is so good second to diluc and kaeya my only gripe is they have a power imbalance as in kaveh is a 4 star and lives in Al haithums house so Al has a bit more of a 'upper hand ' against him

    -After talking to kareena
    -Go to Alhaithem and nilou and not the marked location and talk to them
    – After the cutscenes when talking to kaveh, we pick "don't mention the results of the investigation" option
    And this should trigger the Convo?

    it's so interesting to see alhaitham and kaveh's dynamic. in the surface, it will actually just seem like they cannot stand each other. they insult each other and have obviously different perspectives in things, but if you actually dig deeper into them, you will see that they actually care about each other very much.

    alhaitham, though might come off as insensitive or emotionless, is actually quite emotionally intelligent just by the fact that he knows how kaveh thinks and acts accordingly and appropriately. he likes riling him up during mundane conversations (as we've seen multiple times in the story AND this event alone) but is especially patient with him, he also knows where to draw the line when he thinks that things my trek the boundary of 'insulting' (as we've seen in the event where he either changes the topic or stays silent). he understands the way kaveh thinks but he also wants to set boundaries as he believes that kaveh's empathy might be his biggest downfall (*example:* he passes out trying to get the desert foxes out, willingly believes scams if the reasons are for "the greater good") and reacts to kaveh's actions in a way that's sensible (which kaveh actually understands but never changes his views on things still. hence the line, _"… Even so, I stand by my views. —"_). i dare even say that alhaitham enjoys discussing these views with kaveh as it puts things in a newer perspective that he's possibly never considered before.

    kaveh on the other hand, worn down by his troubles, is the complete opposite of alhaitham. he has this guilt in him from his father's death and tries whatever he can to keep things together to the point where it burdens him unnecessarily. he also is the type to not accept "pure goodwill", meaning he just cannot take things that are handed to him as he believes that he doesn't deserve it (guilt from his father's death. example being: when he refuses to accept faruzan's offer of just handing him the win in the first round of the event). he's foolishly dedicated just for the sake of upholding his views and beliefs (in kaveh's leaked story, he once built on a withering zone but it ended up in shambles, he in turn, sold everything he had to rebuild it all again from scratch with his own wealth despite how everyone else has told him to not continue).

    with how kaveh is, the way alhaitham actually handles his behaviour is very on point and is the perfect way to handle someone as troubled as the architect. alhaitham does not dislike kaveh, he wouldn't let him live with him otherwise. talking about their living situation, we know that kaveh and alhaitham were (as said in kaveh's story) friends, best friends even, but something happened during their time doing a project together and kaveh ended up saying and doing things he later on regretted (he yelled at alhaitham when alhaitham was just pointing out how his behaviour is unnecessarily burdening him and kaveh tears apart the copy of their research paper☹️). we also know that kaveh doesn't live in alhaitham's place for free. he does the chores and even has to pay rent. if you still didn't get it, this is alhaitham's way of caring for kaveh while at the same time adhering to how he thinks. kaveh is someone that doesn't accept "pure goodwill". he does not like it when things are handed to him for free. him doing chores in alhaitham's house and paying rent are things that are good for kaveh, as he doesn't feel any guilt as he's just living in alhaitham's house without contributing to anything. it's genius! two birds in one stone, he can take care of kaveh while not making the other feel guilty.

    conclusions
    alhaitham and kaveh do not hate each other. they're friends that have are slowly rebuilding their trust and friendship step by step. they're two people that can understand each other perfectly (kaveh's voiceline about alhaitham saying that the guy has a big personality and people just don't get him and also how alhaitham is patient towards kaveh in general, knows how to handle him) yet firmly believe in their truths and ideals. they're two sides of the same coin, logical and idealistic, empathy and ego, etc etc. alhaitham's practical thinking keeps kaveh grounded and alhaitham makes sure that kaveh doesn't get too idealistic with his thinking. they both help each other, despite the rocky relationship they have right now. there's still a long way to go for both of them but im sure they'll be good friends in the end.

    I TRIED TO FIND KAVEH AFTER HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO THE ACADEMIA BUT I THINK IT UNLOADED BECAUSE I WENT INTO THE HOUSE OF DAENA 😭
