i am f2p but as someone that sunk so much time into this game i feel lost. i can't imagine how bad it feels for the whales and paying players. like i love the simple combat system of genshin, its fun while allowing casual players to enjoy the combat without putting in too much effort. i want them to make combat endgame. i want an endless rush on floor 13. i want them to maybe make floor 13 a cycle of all the combat events we have had. just recycle what you have at least. but whatever all of this is a waste to hope for. they won't ever do it.
we had hope before this interview, now there's nothing. i will prolly still continue but just not as tryhard as before. i like where sumeru is going and thats the only reason i stick around. if the story turns out like inazuma i will just quit. there's lots of story out there that beats genshin anyway.

I mean I can get to at least floor 11 in the spiral abyss even though I don't have all the stars. I get usually 2-3 stars each floor on floors 9-11. And I'm f2p, I only spent $50 once and spent half a year on this game and I feel like im doing fine, other than that I get everyone's views, content creators and casual gameplay. As a company they do have the possibility to do better. But just don't want to for "safety precautions". So for casual ig its ok. And streamers are tired. Best solution for all those that stream or create content is to take a break and being honest they don't have much to miss anyways, sense their so far ahead, and by the time they come back if they missed character banners or something their will be more banners each version from speculation of 3.0 and 3.1 banner results.
It deff is not for casual players, I used to play this game every single day, doing all events blabla for like a month or two, but it became boring once you completed everything, all that was left was grind and grind and grind, but at the same time 160 resin is no that much of a grind, so it was a big grind schedule that continued through a lot of day just to get like 1 or 2 good artefacts when I need 5 for every character, so I left the game and when I returned I tried to play more casual, but there was new things to do, but you needed to do so much things in order to get the ascension materials for new characters that it was overwhelming, It is not for casual players neither it is for try hards… I´ve been both, being try hard you get stuck with nothing else to do, being casual you get overwhelmed with so much unnecesarily long quests and stuff you have to do in order to participate on the new events or use the new characters, also, as a casual its sooo hard to get primogems, so you never get new characters… this game could have been even better than Breath of the Wild, but it has so much problems bc of avarice it got ruined…
Lol just quite genshin and play honkai if you want 'Endgame'. I always looked at genshin as a casual game and I'm more invested in the characters and lore.
I think they'll add more 'endgame' content after they'll finish adding all the regions. Or maybe I'm just on copium
Honestly lack of Endgame content makes the game more f2p friendly imo but at the same time after all the exploration, quests, events and resin is finished, I have nothing to do
watching these guy break down over the game not being challenging after spending thousands of dollars and hours on it is truly the best Genshin content. It feels good knowing that my entire livelihood isn't in jeopardy if i stop playing a video game that I depend on for content. I know you'll do fine because you are outspoken and loud and also cater to a larger crowd with your "I'm a white guy who's personality is watching anime and playing video games" vocabulary and lowbrow demeanor , but Mtashed is the known Genshin guy, so he might just have to stick with it. I'm annoyed by the decisions made by the developers moving forward, but at least most people can still have fun playing it.

genuinely stopped farming the new artifact sets, I will just use wanderers and gladiators on tighnari and cyno and thats it, and I will to this to every new char. I will not lose my mind grinding artifacts, I am done. talents? level 6 and thats it
Time to accept that this game is a cash grab to fund other projects.
I legit think if you think genshin is all fun and dandy, you need to seek some help asap.
Mihoyo did the atlus and square enix to their fanbase rick roll and play with fans as a whole.
The Genshin Depression is real. After getting below the base layer of presentation the game offered we found a lack of substance. You either stayed at that base layer and ignored the void or you were swallowed by it and now live in agony of the game not realizing its true potential. We crossed the event horizon and there's no going back.

I care about the combat and would love an endgame but it not being there isn't enough to turn me away

Isn't not having an endgame in genshin like a good thing? Cause like what the fuck am I doing if I beat the game? What would be the point of getting new characters and weapons if you beat the game? Build the new characters for what? Spiral abyss? That's it? I don't understand. If this game was replayable then yea an endgame would be cool, but I have only one account. I beat dark souls, bloodborne etc etc I can replay those games by making a new account without losing money. Would I have to delete my account and get a new one to play the game all over again after I beat it?
They lost me when they said no focus on end game content. They wont be getting any money from me cause of it. No point in rolling for anything if its nothing to use it on. Why roll cons for characters and refinement for weapons at this point? They killed their sale numbers with this one.
