I’m sure everyone already saw the Genshin Impact 2.6 trailer from the livestream, and not everyone cares about what I have to say here… But for those who wanted my opinion on the patch, here it is in a nice, short video.
Genshin Impact 2.6: Zephyr of the Violet Garden AKA Violet Evergarden features a lot of new events, a new character in Kamisato Ayato, and a new region to explore, The Chasm.
My main takeaway from the livestream, however, was that I have a severe lack of primogems… So basically the same conclusion I always come to after the update streams.

I'm SO happy that Genshin is FINALLY focusing more on the actual characters in the events instead of NPCS. While I understand why they use NPCS so frequently there's no reason to put them everywhere more often than the characters we care about.

The parrying event is teaching you how to use Yunjin, because you're going to use Yunjin with Ayato and you're also going to use the new set and altogether with the new weapon you're going to become a normal attack maniac who never takes dmg because of Yunjin's counter. Not that you'd need to counter because everything will be frozen by Ayaka and Ayato duo and even if you do take damage it'll be healed by your Sayu or Diona that you're using on your team depending on whether you want to have Cryo resonance or you want to fully activate Yunjin's passive by using four different elements :D….
