I love this game already but I hope they don’t give me a reason to quit due because of long ass years to wait for the final chapter.
I am all in if this 10 year plan is fun… but I would say a big NO if what they decided is to simply slowing down the rate rather than adding extra contents for that extra 5 years.
I hope Mihoyo is not being stupid, the player base has been asking for stuffs to do for a long time, they shoulda know they won't survive this 10 year plan if they are giving out contents at this rate.

Honestly, by the time the game does reach the 10 year mark, it will be long dead or replaced by a new hot gacha games during year 3 or 4. It is popular now, but it won’t later on. It won’t maintain the popularity it has.
I stopped spending on this game around the beggining of 1.3. There was no longer a need to. Idk how much money these banners can keep making on appeal alone, because from a practical sense there is no need to if the game becomes one big, easy side quest

I really like this game but I just can't see 30 year old me in 2030 still playing Genshin just because Mihoyo decided to throw us a few more breadcrumbs, OG players will probably quit the game before then.

The worst is I worked for many R&D teams and would love to help them make a better game and make some good money from it but they truly don't want help. They want to suck the game dry of money and they don't care about making the game better 🙁

i've experienced this on Warframe. the game has been running for straight 8 years and it keeps giving new updates that's generally better than before. the playerbase is massive and very community-friendly and it's still growing. so they must be doing something right with their game. I hope Mihoyo will do the same thing!
