  1. Thank you Kokomiclan for this video. We needed some yt content creator that report this illegal acts. Actually these private servers video are popping up on my yt home a lot recently. And not only i find them annoying and stupid but also so disrespectful for the real game.

And tbh… there's nothing fun on having everything or just breaking the game mechanics for doing a "1000% cr kokomi", cause yes i saw that video too.

  2. Legitimate or not, I have to admit it's pretty tempting to live a whale's life for once or test some funny combat scenario that one can only dream of.

  3. Saw someone with SEA UID that got 6 5 Stars in a single 10 pull on Yelan's banner. He tries to act like its legitimate but the battle pass icon was missing. It's dangerous since the UID may have a legitimate owner and is at risk of being banned due to that stupid video.

  4. i have been seeing those video thumbnails popping up and just thought those were weird but didn’t realize it was basically hacking. Good to know what’s happening. Thanks!

  5. There's even a bigger and real danger beyond what you described.
In private servers, UID can be spoofed into anything, including legitimate UIDs in official server.
There is a very real possibility of framing someone's account by their UID for hacking and getting them banned.
A malicious private server user could spoof their UID to streamers and content creators, and that could turn ugly, depending if HoYoverse is smart enough of what's going on

  6. You are probably the first person talking about this topic on youtube, i was really tempted to play on private servers when i started to saw videos with Ulti swap animations but now i dont think i'm really interesed to try it.. thanks for the explanation 👍

  7. Thank you for speaking and explaining something that would fly over so many Genshin meta and genshin clickbait YouTubers. We need more genshin content creators like you. 💙

  8. never play on a private server if the original game is live (unless devs are fine with it.) all the private servers i play on are games that are shutdown or long dead and its the ONLY way to continue playing if i want. big example, city of heroes. that game has been dead for a decade and playing a private server is the only way to get that experience. im glad ppl have figured out how to work it this early but, should probably save it for when this game stops development.

  9. the security risks are a big issue but otherwise, from how I understand the situation, it kinda just seems like modding the game to try out some stuff, unless the progress and stuff made on a private server is able to be carried over to the official servers? which i would assume mihoyo probably has some protection against that

  10. i agree and understand what you're saying you have valid points but also it can be a good way to archive and document the game since hoyoverse love to delete and remove events or others things from the game, also since genshin you can't play without internet and there is no singleplayer mode i wonder what would happen when they'll stop updating or close the servers, will i loose my account so everything im doing right now mean nothing, i know everything has to end some day but i don't want the game to be just memories that at some point just i forget about it, i hope they'll find a solution to that or even keep the server alive even if genshin 2 is released also often times its thank to these people that game that are old or you can't play anymore you can actually play it so im grateful for them

  11. Thank u for enlightening and discussing bout this…… Personally, my ethics were strong enough to think private servers as a disgrace to efforts that have gone into this game…… Genshin has healed me in many ways especially when i was goin thru the hardest time in my life, and just lookin at them characters, my mind comes to peace, I'm really grateful for everyone who made this game a reality and tbf i love this game enough that its flaws do not affect me neither my feelings for it….hence, that's the least i can do

  12. I don't think it's as black and white as good or bad. I agree with all your points and I do agree that they're overall pretty unsafe in multiple ways but when it costs upwards of $1000 to get a c6 constellation I understand why some people would want to circumvent that even if it doesn't transfer to their offical account. This really only applies to private goofing around though, I agree that people who lie about showcases should probably get sued.

  13. The risk of being banned isn't that big. The true risk is connecting to some person's computer and running suspicious dlls. Private server owners cam steal your personal info or mess with your system if they want to. So if you can't resisit the temptation at least use a virtual machine

  14. I never understood the appeal of playing a game without playing the game. This is a genuine question: what is the point of exploiting in a game? What's the appeal of it? I saw a couple of people talk about how they wish there was an option to test all of the characters out, so in this case a private server is good. However, private servers aren't the answers for testing out any character you want at their max potential. Instead the appropraite solution would be a domain that lets you select a character, their constellation level, artifact, and so on. Not a server that just gives you everything in the game. The domain will essentially assure a player to test out the character of their choice(in a controlled area*), while a private server will just, well, be an exploit server/version of the game?

  15. The fact that people are not only a.) condoning unlawful practices but b.) writing comments that reflect negative IQ values is alarming.

If you can not respect legitimate content creation, don't expect me to respect you by giving you a voice. Comments will liberally get deleted.

  16. What kind of private server do you talk in this video? The one I tried is open-sourced, so when I run it on my own host/local computer it should be 100% safe because I control everything.
