My interpretation of Shenhe's Character Teaser:
I just watched Shenhe's character teaser. For those of you who have watched it too, you must have noticed a scene where she turned from a smiling face to a depressed one(Around 2:00 of the video).
I think this is because Shenhe noticed that her homicidal nature scared the frog and it escaped. Before it escaped, there are several frames of a crane taking off like a predator, probably ready to catch the frog. That is a demonstration of Shenhe's homicidal nature.
I think this happens all the time in her life. So she feels sad. She cannot control her nature so that she cannot be too close to mortals. That's why a man told her that "You are a cursed child, and shall never have any contact with anyone else"(around 2:05).
That's why she cannot make any friend with other people. She can only live with adepti, who are probably not affected by her homicidal nature.
We already know that she is a remote relative of Chongyun. They both have a special nature. Unlike Chongyun whose Yang nature only scares evil spirits, Shenhe's nature is more extreme in that she has negative impact even on living things. However, it is not clear yet whether such nature would do harm to herself or not, like Chongyun going crazy after eating spicy food.
I guess the Traveler will not be impacted by her nature. Hope he/she can be Shenhe's friend.
