So… Regarding ER% the catch etc. I made a mathematical proof today showing that per value at R5 The Catch is worse than R1 Wavebreaker based on the value of the weapons themselves on every value including ER% base attack etc. I will talk about in a video once I have time to figure out the best way to explain it.
Almost every single comment I’ve read that didn’t like the test vs the catch; after 4 months of resin refreshes I don’t have an er sands, nothing I can do about it. Please adjust expectations to what is possible, whales do not get every possible artifact with all level 90 weapons and the test requires daily mystic enhancement farming for over a year and resin refreshes on mystic enhancement through the shop. The test is not possible to do up to perfect expectations by any means as creating perfect stat lines is not possible. The only way to do that is theory crafting possible numbers. Normalizing stat values for a test would require 10+ artifacts of each slot with close stat lines for a set that has been out for 4 months while also spending resin on new characters.

Keep in mind this weapon will get more damage if you have high energy cost characters, so this isn't even the max potential of the wavebreaker

Me after raising a weapon for Xiangling for the 3rd time: Ah shit, here we go again.
Unless you matched the ER and crit rate % gained from wpns, through artifacts to come out to roughly the same between all wpns, this is beyond wrong. If you did this behind the scenes then nvm, but doesn't look like you did. These new wpn vids might be your worst vids ever released, have really fallen in caliber over last 6 months (been watching your vids since last year.) Basically any wpn with crit rate or er subs will come out as shit in this test vs ones with cdmg or atk%, as their value isn't used.

Is dragonsbane not competitive in damage for xiangling or is there another reason it wasn't testing. Atm I use catch/dragonsbane on Raiden/xiangling for national, wondering if I should really invest in another polearm lmao

yes wavebreaker fin wins in dmg but r5 catch provides so much in terms of energy recharge, burst crit and and burst dmg bruv. Its more universal in most team comps as well. Unless u have insane ER on yr artis i wud recommend the Catch R5 as a f2p option or the engulfing lightning if u happen to have it. Well this is just my opinion. Things to consider.

I am a little disappointed that we didn't see dragon's bane on Xiangling since it is one of the more popular weapons that are used.
Even if Wavebreaker is doing more dmg I think I would rather use a weapon with ER on it for Raiden just so I can spam burst on CD, but since I use dragon's bane on Xiangling I really wanted to know if Wavebreaker is better. Guess I will just test it myself.
I literally pulled on this banner to get sacrificial sword R5 for XQ, but got homa and R5 wavebreaker (0 sac swords from 150 pulls BTW)

i am a bit confused a bit now . i am using raiden shogun with catch / xianling dragons bane / mona widssith / bennet aquilla ; for this team is dragon bane good or should i try to get he polarm ?
bcs the test show the raw potential but doesnt show in an elemental reaction team how good or bad is it compared to others

Wonder what would square up better on Damage per Screenshot on Xiangling. Homa R5 or Engulfing R5? Balance wise the latter is of course way better since it gives everything Xiangling needs. Only the crit has to be balanced in her artifacts. But besides that an awesome weapon. I have 1 for Raiden and 1 for XL.
I got R5 wavebraker’s fin by accident pulling for homa and it turns out that it is a top weapon for burst dps characters, I got elegy and homa too cuz I saved a lot of primos, I got really lucky this time.
I lost 50/50 to elegy which is pain bc im f2p so im using black tassel on hu tao

the weapon effect fits the hyper carry team perfectly in my opinion

The annoying thing is that i've spent like 2-3 months of freemogems and welkin on this weapon banner, got 1 Amos bow, 1 homa and 3 of the new bow…but not even one wavebreaker -.- don't get me wrong, i'm super happy to have the perfect weapons for both Ganyu and Hu-tao…i'm just greedy <.< I wanna see big numbers
