Case for Dragons Bane, might be good if you go for an electro charge reaction alongside Baal's damage with Xingqiu, the hydro application should be consistant enough for the passive to work and even the mastery will be somewhat useful.

You dont even know prototype starglitter passive (boost NA + CA dmg) DOESNT work because When baal is in Mushou Isshin state ( burst ). The damage is counted as BURST DMG, not NA/CA.
Primodial Jade Winged Spear is well known good with its High Base Atk.

I got the skyward spine on the standard banner not long ago and I was really disappointed because I didn't use any spear users in my party but now I'm glad to see that it's atleast decent for Baal, I'm pretty much guaranteed Baal because I lost the 50/50 on ayakas banner and now that I have sayu I'm not pulling for yoimiya. Also around 40 into pity

I don't know what kind of COPIUM you inhale to put favonius in the trash tier. Favonius gives energy to the whole team at r5 it'll be able to trigger 2 times during her ulty on top of that you get energy from her ulty so it really amplify her "team battery" role in the team as well as give her good base attack and energy recharage. There is no way it should be in the bottom tier.
Coincidentally, i just unlocked my battlepass and got Deathmatch. But i will have The Catch for her.
It's better to aim for C2 Baal instead of going for C0 Baal and R1 Engulfing Lightning.

F2p just to giving you guys an idea to work with : catch r5 >> skyward, artifact 4 emblem set. In therm of raw dmg output no artifact subs : atk sand+ atk goblet >> atk sand + electro goblet >> er sand+atk goblet. All alternatives are good it's about substats rolls, put what you have best or what suit your playstyle.
Whale's gear : engulfing + 4 emblem set : er sand + atk goblet definitely.
All these are calculate with Baal's current known stats and kit, it may change upon release have to see.
I dont think the same about primordial jade winged spear. That is cracked weapon for her cz the off-field electro coordinated attack from her is filling it stack per 0.9 second 😏😏
