A few hours ago, we got new leaks about changes in the upcoming banner lineup and details of a new banner system.

Today, we’re going to discuss the updated banner between 5.4 and 5.5, which will include all the new characters expected to come, all reruns based on speculation, and the new banner system.

I know this is looking interesting, so what you need to do is watch the video till the end.

Before we start, without further ado, let’s get started.

We were expecting Clorinde’s rerun in 5.4 as it made sense, but according to the latest leaks by a reliable source, Fullstopchan, we’re getting Arlecchino and Clorinde rerun together in phase two of 5.3.

This means there’s no Liyue character rerun in 5.3, which is unexpected, as 5.3 features the Lantern Rite event. We usually get at least one Liyue character in the normal banner.

But now, there’s no five-star Liyue character in the 5.3 normal banner. We’re only getting Lan Yan in the 5.3 banner, and she’s a four-star.

Looks like we’ll only get a four-star Liyue character in 5.3.

We all were expecting either Xianyun or Shenhe rerun, but neither of them got their rerun.

Since the lineup has changed, there’s a chance we’ll see Shenhe or Xianyun’s rerun in 5.4.

It’s just my speculation, though. But both of them haven’t received a rerun in a long time, so they have a high chance to get one. They should have had a rerun in 5.3, but Hoyoverse pulled a hard move to fill their wallets with banger banners.

So, we might see one of them in 5.4.

Other than that, there’s also a chance of a Wriothesley rerun in 5.4. If Hoyoverse is giving all Fontaine characters their first rerun, then Wriothesley also has a chance to be in the 5.4 banner after Clorinde and Arlecchino.

Now, as for the Archon rerun in 5.4, we should see either Furina or Venti. I personally hope for Furina to be in 5.4 and Venti in 5.5, as we’re expecting a Mondstadt map expansion in 5.5, according to an old leak.

I’m hoping to see Dorman Port, which we’ve been hearing about for a long time.

  2. I think lantern rite will be awkward this year because the time-line is off by a bit(covid 265 day ayaka banner). That means lantern rite would be between end of 5.4 and begin of 5.5. Which muddies things since nothing can really be moved around because mavuika and citlali are big meta defining/popular characters releasing along with goated reruns. They also have lantern rite, also a big thing that brings a lot of players (thus lots of revenue) but they can't just add another 5* (in madame ping) because that would throw off the balance and mean 4 new playable characters (3 being 5 stars). It would just be too much (they are already pushing it with 5.3). t would 1000% ovewelm the fan base. thus yanlan is still coming on time for everything and still feels like we are celebrating but still have time for ping next update.
