Alright! The special program for version 5.1 is finally here, and we’ve received official confirmation from the developers about the upcoming content in the 5.1 update. Starting off with the trailer—the trailer looks amazing! But that’s common sense at this point, because any trailer with clips from the Archon quest is bound to be good. How about you guys? Anyway, before we dive into discussing the banners and everything, I want to remind you that I’ll be giving away 50 Welkin Moons when we hit 100k subscribers. Moving on to the banners! As always, the dataminers were right again about the 5.1 rerun banners. As predicted, Xilonen and Chiori are getting their banners in the first phase, which starts on October 9th, while Nahida and Hu Tao will get theirs in the second phase. So yeah, they were spot on again! I already have Nahida and Hu Tao, along with their signature weapons, so I’ll be skipping these two. As for Chiori, I’m not really interested, so I’ll skip her as well.

But I’m definitely pulling for Xilonen, and maybe even her signature weapon, because she’s guaranteed. We finally got to see her official kit and gameplay during the livestream, and I gotta say, her gameplay looks super fun. Personally, I find her really, I don’t know, attractive? No, that’s not the right word. I find her interesting. Yeah, that’s it! Anyway, I’m definitely pulling on her banner, but let me know in the comments if you’re going for her too.

Now, onto the best part of Version 5.1. The update will release two new acts in Natlan’s Archon Quest storyline, which is probably the main highlight. The quest will follow up on the events of Act II: Black Stone Under a White Stone, and I’m really excited for it. On top of that, Xilonen is getting her story quest in 5.1, and we got a sneak peek during the livestream. Honestly, there isn’t too much to talk about for 5.1 since there are no new areas or anything like that.

As usual, we’re getting some events. The main event for 5.1 is called Chromatic Ode of Candles and Roses, which will take place in Sumeru. We’re getting a free copy of Candace during the main event. Out of all the 4-star characters from Sumeru, they decided to give us the one I wanted the least. I mean, come on! You’ve kept Kaveh in the basement for so long—the least you could do is give us a free copy of him. But no, because you’re Hoyoverse, and making bad decisions is your thing.

Honestly, we need more gacha games like Wuthering Waves. Everyone else is offering free limited 5-star characters, but here in Genshin, we’re getting trashy 4-star weapons and some useless 4-star character I don’t even want.

We’re also getting new trials—whatever they’re called—in the Imaginarium Theatre. And there are some new changes, which I’ve already covered in my last video, so I’ll skip that for now. Anyway, that’s pretty much everything we’re getting in the 5.1 update. So please don’t explore all of the 5.0 map before the next patch drops, or you’ll be bored to death in 5.1.

  4. Just give a four star selector, Genshin, for the love of god. So many four stars are horrendously useless without extreme investment and an unhealthy amount of cope. Otherwise, woo update looks nice.
