Current theory is that Capturing Radiance actually is a hidden pity system for lost 50/50's. I don't believe this is official information, but I had lost at least the last 2 50/50's when this happened so it lines up.
Theory goes: If you lose 2 50/50's, you have a 75% chance for CR to happen on your next 5-star, and if you lose that, it's guaranteed to happen.
Was still super hype to have seen it, but it may have been guaranteed at this point, haha…

Seems like this Capturing Radiance is there only to make you feel good after losing multiple 50/50s. Kinda glad I left the game

Yesterday I've seen a video explaining this. So basically, this, doesn't guaranteed you a 5*.
So it works like this, it increases the rate everytime you lose a 50/50. So example, you were trying to get Kinich. First pull got lost, then guarantee, then this time IF you get the capturing radiance, your rate will be up. Not 50/50 but 55/45. The more you lose your 50/50 IN A ROW, the more higher the win ratio IF you get the capturing radiance
I have done a total 140 to 150 pulls but this never had happen.😭😭😭😭

I been playing Genshin for 3 years and I still havn't gotten a Qiqi. I'm actually hoping to get her 'cos I need her to be a cryo applier to this melt team I have. I been using kaya but with Qiqi, I'd be getting heals while applying cryo.
you need to lose a bunch of 50/50 to trigger it if you lose once you get a 5% chance you lose twice it increases by 10% lose 3 times you get 50% chance lose 4 times 100% guaranteed capturing radiance
Yes when ur about to loose. i lost 3 50/50s so this appeared n guaranteed i get him. Luckily it came at 40 pity exactly

My theories is that CR happened When you lost your 50/50 but then the game does another Roll on ur Standardt character with a lower chances. so basically its like a rolling Skin on a standardt character.
Now I see why it's called pitty. The gotcha luck in this game is pitiful.
I've got kinich on my 30th roll/summon, and it's free I didn't spend anything I guess I've got my lucky.

I still find it funny how qiqi is the one memed to ruing 5050's shes not ruined mine yet, diluc tho can go to a hole, hes messed up my 5050 twice now, i use the anniversary free 5* to get qiqi cuz i wanna collect all cryo characters
If the first five star you get in capturing radiance is a standard, it means you would get two copies of the limited
I lost my 50/50 for kinich then got kinich with 0 pity then got kinich with 0 pity again and on top of that I got a 4 star in the same 10 pull
i was pulling for fun and i only had 7 pulls on my 2nd pull i skipped it after i got a four star cause i thought it would be a 3 star and bam comes kinich it was actually so funny
